Bless the Lord, all you His angels, Mighty in strength, who do His word, So as to hear the voice of His words.

51. And suddenly, one of those who were with Jesus stretched out his hand and drew his sword, struck the servant of the high priest, and cut off his ear. 52. But Jesus said to him, “Put your sword in its place, for all who take the sword will perish by the sword. 53. Or do you think that I cannot now pray to My Father, and He will provide Me with more than twelve legions of angels? 54. How then could the Scriptures be fulfilled, that it must happen thus?” 55. In that hour Jesus said to the multitudes, “Have you come out, as against a robber, with swords and clubs to take Me? I sat daily with you, teaching in the temple, and you did not seize Me. 56. But all this was done that the Scriptures of the prophets might be fulfilled.” Then all the disciples forsook Him and fled. The Lord told his desciples, ‘Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will by no means pass away.’

19. If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men the most pitiable. 20. But now Christ is risen from the dead, and has become the first fruits of those who have fallen asleep. 21. But each one in his own order: Christ the first fruits, afterward those who are Christ's at His coming. 24. And this is the spirit of the Antichrist, which you have heard was coming, and is now already in the world. 4. Therefore they speak as of the world, and the world hears them. 6. We are of God. He who knows God hears us; he who is not of God does not hear us. By this we know the spirit of truth and the spirit of error. 7. Beloved, let us love one another, for love is of God; and everyone who loves is born of God and knows God. 8. He who does not love does not know God, for God is love. 9. In this the love of God was manifested toward us, that God has sent His only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through Him.

4. And when they had come to Jerusalem, they were received by the church and the apostles and the elders; and they reported all things that God had done with them. 5. But some of the sect of the Pharisees who believed rose up, saying, “It is necessary to circumcise them, and to command them to keep the law of Moses.” 6. And when there had been much dispute, Peter rose up and said to them: “Men and brethren, you know that a good while ago God chose among us, that by my mouth the Gentiles should hear the word of the gospel and believe. 8. So God, who knows the heart, acknowledged them by giving them the Holy Spirit, just as He did to us, 9. and made no distinction between us and them, purifying their hearts by faith. 10. Now therefore, why do you test God by putting a yoke on the neck of the disciples which neither our fathers nor we were able to bear? 11. But we believe that through the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ we shall be saved in the same manner as they.” 12. Then all the multitude kept silent and listened to Barnabas and Paul declaring how many miracles and wonders God had worked through them among the Gentiles.

You will be betrayed even by parents and brothers, relatives and friends; and they will put some of you to death. 17. And you will be hated by all for My name's sake. 18. But not a hair of your head shall be lost. 19. By your patience possess your souls. ‘It is easier for heaven and earth to pass away than for one tittle of the law to fail,’ says the Lord to his desciples.

But even to this day, when Moses is read, a veil lies on their heart. 16. Nevertheless when one turns to the Lord, the veil is taken away. 17. For where envy and self - seeking exist, confusion and every evil thing are there. 17. But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, willing to yield, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality and without hypocrisy. 18. Now the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace by those who make peace.

Then the soldiers came and broke the legs of the first and of the other who was crucified with Him. 33. But when they came to Jesus and saw that He was already dead, they did not break His legs. 34. But one of the soldiers pierced His side with a spear, and immediately blood and water came out. 35. And he who has seen has testified, and his testimony is true; and he knows that he is telling the truth, so that you may believe. 36. For these things were done that the Scripture should be fulfilled, “Not one of His bones shall be broken.” 37. And again another Scripture says, “They shall look on Him whom they pierced.” Whoever believes in the SON, have eternal life.

Having many things to write to you, I did not wish to do so with paper and ink; but I hope to come to you and speak face to face, that our joy may be full. 13. But he who denies Me before men will be denied before the angels of God. 10. “And anyone who speaks a word against the Son of Man, it will be forgiven him; but to him who blasphemes against the Holy Spirit, it will not be forgiven. 11. “Now when they bring you to the synagogues and magistrates and authorities, do not worry about how or what you should answer, or what you should say. 12.
