Ps 88 : 5 - 7 [ትግርኛ][ግእዝ][ልሙድ]

They laid me in the lowest pit, In dark places and in the shadow of death. Your wrath rested upon me, And You brought all Your billows over me.

ወንጌል Gospel

Lk 23 : 50 - end [ትግርኛ][ግእዝ][ልሙድ]

50. Now behold, there was a man named Joseph, a council member, a good and just man. 51. He had not consented to their decision and deed. He was from Arimathea, a city of the Jews, who himself was also waiting for the kingdom of God. 52. This man went to Pilate and asked for the body of Jesus. 53. Then he took it down, wrapped it in linen, and laid it in a tomb that was hewn out of the rock, where no one had ever lain before. 54. That day was the Preparation, and the Sabbath drew near. 55. And the women who had come with Him from Galilee followed after, and they observed the tomb and how His body was laid. 56. Then they returned and prepared spices and fragrant oils. And they rested on the Sabbath according to the commandment. ‘It is easier for heaven and earth to pass away than for one tittle of the law to fail,’ says the Lord to his desciples.

Heb 7 : 23 - end [ትግርኛ][ግእዝ][ልሙድ]

23. Also there were many priests, because they were prevented by death from continuing. 24. But He, because He continues forever, has an unchangeable priesthood. 25. Therefore He is also able to save to the uttermost those who come to God through Him, since He always lives to make intercession for them. 26. For such a High Priest was fitting for us, who is holy, harmless, undefiled, separate from sinners, and has become higher than the heavens; 27. who does not need daily, as those high priests, to offer up sacrifices, first for His own sins and then for the people's, for this He did once for all when He offered up Himself. 28. For the law appoints as high priests men who have weakness, but the word of the oath, which came after the law, appoints the Son who has been perfected forever.

Jude 1 : 20 - end [ትግርኛ][ግእዝ][ልሙድ]

20. But you, beloved, building yourselves up on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit, 21. keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life. 22. And on some have compassion, making a distinction; 23. but others save with fear, pulling them out of the fire, hating even the garment defiled by the flesh. 24. Now to Him who is able to keep you from stumbling, And to present you faultless Before the presence of His glory with exceeding joy, 25. To God our Savior, Who alone is wise, Be glory and majesty, Dominion and power, Both now and forever. Amen.

Acts 3 : 12 - 18 [ትግርኛ][ግእዝ][ልሙድ]

12. So when Peter saw it, he responded to the people: “Men of Israel, why do you marvel at this? Or why look so intently at us, as though by our own power or godliness we had made this man walk? 13. The God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, the God of our fathers, glorified His Servant Jesus, whom you delivered up and denied in the presence of Pilate, when he was determined to let Him go. 14. But you denied the Holy One and the Just, and asked for a murderer to be granted to you, 15. and killed the Prince of life, whom God raised from the dead, of which we are witnesses. 16. And His name, through faith in His name, has made this man strong, whom you see and know. Yes, the faith which comes through Him has given him this perfect soundness in the presence of you all. 17. “Yet now, brethren, I know that you did it in ignorance, as did also your rulers. 18. But those things which God foretold by the mouth of all His prophets, that the Christ would suffer, He has thus fulfilled.

ወንጌል Gospel

Mt 12 : 38 - 42 [ትግርኛ][ግእዝ][ልሙድ]

38. Then some of the scribes and Pharisees answered, saying, “Teacher, we want to see a sign from You.” 39. But He answered and said to them, “An evil and adulterous generation seeks after a sign, and no sign will be given to it except the sign of the prophet Jonah. 40. For as Jonah was three days and three nights in the belly of the great fish, so will the Son of Man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth. 41. The men of Nineveh will rise up in the judgment with this generation and condemn it, because they repented at the preaching of Jonah; and indeed a greater than Jonah is here. 42. The queen of the South will rise up in the judgment with this generation and condemn it, for she came from the ends of the earth to hear the wisdom of Solomon; and indeed a greater than Solomon is here. The Lord told his desciples, ‘Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will by no means pass away.’

Mt 27 : 62 - end [ትግርኛ][ግእዝ][ልሙድ]

62. On the next day, which followed the Day of Preparation, the chief priests and Pharisees gathered together to Pilate, 63. saying, “Sir, we remember, while He was still alive, how that deceiver said, ‘After three days I will rise. ’ 64. Therefore command that the tomb be made secure until the third day, lest His disciples come by night and steal Him away, and say to the people, ‘He has risen from the dead. ’ So the last deception will be worse than the first.” 65. Pilate said to them, “You have a guard; go your way, make it as secure as you know how.” 66. So they went and made the tomb secure, sealing the stone and setting the guard. The Lord told his desciples, ‘Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will by no means pass away.’

ወንጌል Gospel

Lk 1 : 26 - 38 [ትግርኛ][ግእዝ][ልሙድ]

26. Now in the sixth month the angel Gabriel was sent by God to a city of Galilee named Nazareth, 27. to a virgin betrothed to a man whose name was Joseph, of the house of David. The virgin's name was Mary. 28. And having come in, the angel said to her, “Rejoice, highly favored one, the Lord is with you; blessed are you among women!” 29. But when she saw him, she was troubled at his saying, and considered what manner of greeting this was. 30. Then the angel said to her, “Do not be afraid, Mary, for you have found favor with God. 31. And behold, you will conceive in your womb and bring forth a Son, and shall call His name JESUS. 32. He will be great, and will be called the Son of the Highest; and the Lord God will give Him the throne of His father David. 33. And He will reign over the house of Jacob forever, and of His kingdom there will be no end.” 34. Then Mary said to the angel, “How can this be, since I do not know a man?” 35. And the angel answered and said to her, “The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Highest will overshadow you; therefore, also, that Holy One who is to be born will be called the Son of God. 36. Now indeed, Elizabeth your relative has also conceived a son in her old age; and this is now the sixth month for her who was called barren. 37. For with God nothing will be impossible.” 38. Then Mary said, “Behold the maidservant of the Lord! Let it be to me according to your word.” And the angel departed from her. መልእክተ ጳውሎስ Pauline Epistle

Heb 10 : 1 - 10 [ትግርኛ][ግእዝ][ልሙድ]

1. For the law, having a shadow of the good things to come, and not the very image of the things, can never with these same sacrifices, which they offer continually year by year, make those who approach perfect. 2. For then would they not have ceased to be offered? For the worshipers, once purified, would have had no more consciousness of sins. 3. But in those sacrifices there is a reminder of sins every year. 4. For it is not possible that the blood of bulls and goats could take away sins. 5. Therefore, when He came into the world, He said: “Sacrifice and offering You did not desire, But a body You have prepared for Me. 6. In burnt offerings and sacrifices for sin You had no pleasure. 7. Then I said, ‘Behold, I have come— In the volume of the book it is written of Me— To do Your will, O God.’” 8. Previously saying, “Sacrifice and offering, burnt offerings, and offerings for sin You did not desire, nor had pleasure in them” (which are offered according to the law), 9. then He said, “Behold, I have come to do Your will, O God.” He takes away the first that He may establish the second. 10. By that will we have been sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.

ዘካልእ መልእክት Universal Epistle

1Jn 5 : 13 - end [ትግርኛ][ግእዝ][ልሙድ]

13. These things I have written to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, that you may know that you have eternal life, and that you may continue to believe in the name of the Son of God. 14. Now this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. 15. And if we know that He hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we have asked of Him. 16. If anyone sees his brother sinning a sin which does not lead to death, he will ask, and He will give him life for those who commit sin not leading to death. There is sin leading to death. I do not say that he should pray about that. 17. All unrighteousness is sin, and there is sin not leading to death. 18. We know that whoever is born of God does not sin; but he who has been born of God keeps himself, and the wicked one does not touch him. 19. We know that we are of God, and the whole world lies under the sway of the wicked one. 20. And we know that the Son of God has come and has given us an understanding, that we may know Him who is true; and we are in Him who is true, in His Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God and eternal life. 21. Little children, keep yourselves from idols. Amen.

Acts 17 : 16 - 30 [ትግርኛ][ግእዝ][ልሙድ]

16. Now while Paul waited for them at Athens, his spirit was provoked within him when he saw that the city was given over to idols. 17. Therefore he reasoned in the synagogue with the Jews and with the Gentile worshipers, and in the marketplace daily with those who happened to be there. 18. Thena certain Epicurean and Stoic philosophers encountered him. And some said, “What does this babbler want to say?” Others said, “He seems to be a proclaimer of foreign gods,” because he preached to them Jesus and the resurrection. 19. And they took him and brought him to the Areopagus, saying, “May we know what this new doctrine is of which you speak? 20. For you are bringing some strange things to our ears. Therefore we want to know what these things mean.” 21. For all the Athenians and the foreigners who were there spent their time in nothing else but either to tell or to hear some new thing. 22. Then Paul stood in the midst of the Areopagus and said, “Men of Athens, I perceive that in all things you are very religious; 23. for as I was passing through and considering the objects of your worship, I even found an altar with this inscription: Therefore, the One whom you worship without knowing, Him I proclaim to you: 24. God, who made the world and everything in it, since He is Lord of heaven and earth, does not dwell in temples made with hands. 25. Nor is He worshiped with men's hands, as though He needed anything, since He gives to all life, breath, and all things. 26. And He has made from one blood every nation of men to dwell on all the face of the earth, and has determined their preappointed times and the boundaries of their dwellings, 27. so that they should seek the Lord, in the hope that they might grope for Him and find Him, though He is not far from each one of us; 28. for in Him we live and move and have our being, as also some of your own poets have said, ‘For we are also His offspring. ’ 29. Therefore, since we are the offspring of God, we ought not to think that the Divine Nature is like gold or silver or stone, something shaped by art and man's devising. 30. Truly, these times of ignorance God overlooked, but now commands all men everywhere to repent,

Lk 24 : 33 - 40 [ትግርኛ][ግእዝ][ልሙድ]

33. So they rose up that very hour and returned to Jerusalem, and found the eleven and those who were with them gathered together, 34. saying, “The Lord is risen indeed, and has appeared to Simon!” 35. And they told about the things that had happened on the road, and how He was known to them in the breaking of bread. 36. Now as they said these things, Jesus Himself stood in the midst of them, and said to them, “Peace to you.” 37. But they were terrified and frightened, and supposed they had seen a spirit. 38. And He said to them, “Why are you troubled? And why do doubts arise in your hearts? 39. Behold My hands and My feet, that it is I Myself. Handle Me and see, for a spirit does not have flesh and bones as you see I have.” 40. When He had said this, He showed them His hands and His feet. ‘It is easier for heaven and earth to pass away than for one tittle of the law to fail,’ says the Lord to his desciples.

Jn 20 : 19 - 23 [ትግርኛ][ግእዝ][ልሙድ]

19. Then, the same day at evening, being the first day of the week, when the doors were shut where the disciples were assembled, for fear of the Jews, Jesus came and stood in the midst, and said to them, “Peace be with you.” 20. When He had said this, He showed them His hands and His side. Then the disciples were glad when they saw the Lord. 21. So Jesus said to them again, “Peace to you! As the Father has sent Me, I also send you.” 22. And when He had said this, He breathed on them, and said to them, “Receive the Holy Spirit. 23. If you forgive the sins of any, they are forgiven them; if you retain the sins of any, they are retained.” Whoever believes in the SON, have eternal life.

Heb 11 : 32 - end [ትግርኛ][ግእዝ][ልሙድ]

32. And what more shall I say? For the time would fail me to tell of Gideon and Barak and Samson and Jephthah, also of David and Samuel and the prophets: 33. who through faith subdued kingdoms, worked righteousness, obtained promises, stopped the mouths of lions, 34. quenched the violence of fire, escaped the edge of the sword, out of weakness were made strong, became valiant in battle, turned to flight the armies of the aliens. 35. Women received their dead raised to life again. Others were tortured, not accepting deliverance, that they might obtain a better resurrection. 36. Still others had trial of mockings and scourgings, yes, and of chains and imprisonment. 37. They were stoned, they were sawn in two, were tempted, were slain with the sword. They wandered about in sheepskins and goatskins, being destitute, afflicted, tormented— 38. of whom the world was not worthy. They wandered in deserts and mountains, in dens and caves of the earth. 39. And all these, having obtained a good testimony through faith, did not receive the promise, 40. God having provided something better for us, that they should not be made perfect apart from us.

Now behold, an angel of the Lord stood by him, and a light shone in the prison; and he struck Peter on the side and raised him up, saying, “Arise quickly!” And his chains fell off his hands. 8. Then the angel said to him, “Gird yourself and tie on your sandals”; and so he did. And he said to him, “Put on your garment and follow me.” 9. So he went out and followed him, and did not know that what was done by the angel was real, but thought he was seeing a vision. 10. When they were past the first and the second guard posts, they came to the iron gate that leads to the city, which opened to them of its own accord; and they went out and went down one street, and immediately the angel departed from him. 11. And when Peter had come to himself, he said, “Now I know for certain that the Lord has sent His angel, and has delivered me from the hand of Herod and from all the expectation of the Jewish people.”

Lk 24 : 22 - 32 [ትግርኛ][ግእዝ][ልሙድ]

22. Yes, and certain women of our company, who arrived at the tomb early, astonished us. 23. When they did not find His body, they came saying that they had also seen a vision of angels who said He was alive. 24. And certain of those who were with us went to the tomb and found it just as the women had said; but Him they did not see.” 25. Then He said to them, “O foolish ones, and slow of heart to believe in all that the prophets have spoken! 26. Ought not the Christ to have suffered these things and to enter into His glory?” 27. And beginning at Moses and all the Prophets, He expounded to them in all the Scriptures the things concerning Himself. 28. Then they drew near to the village where they were going, and He indicated that He would have gone farther. 29. But they constrained Him, saying, “Abide with us, for it is toward evening, and the day is far spent.” And He went in to stay with them. 30. Now it came to pass, as He sat at the table with them, that He took bread, blessed and broke it, and gave it to them. 31. Then their eyes were opened and they knew Him; and He vanished from their sight. 32. And they said to one another, “Did not our heart burn within us while He talked with us on the road, and while He opened the Scriptures to us?” ‘It is easier for heaven and earth to pass away than for one tittle of the law to fail,’ says the Lord to his desciples.

Heb 5 : 1 - 9 [ትግርኛ][ግእዝ][ልሙድ]

1. For every high priest taken from among men is appointed for men in things pertaining to God, that he may offer both gifts and sacrifices for sins. 2. He can have compassion on those who are ignorant and going astray, since he himself is also subject to weakness. 3. Because of this he is required as for the people, so also for himself, to offer sacrifices for sins. 4. And no man takes this honor to himself, but he who is called by God, just as Aaron was. 5. So also Christ did not glorify Himself to become High Priest, but it was He who said to Him: “You are My Son, Today I have begotten You.” 6. As He also says in another place: “You are a priest forever According to the order of Melchizedek”; 7. who, in the days of His flesh, when He had offered up prayers and supplications, with vehement cries and tears to Him who was able to save Him from death, and was heard because of His godly fear, 8. though He was a Son, yet He learned obedience by the things which He suffered. 9. And having been perfected, He became the author of eternal salvation to all who obey Him,

8. Finally, all of you be of one mind, having compassion for one another; love as brothers, be tenderhearted, be courteous; 9. not returning evil for evil or reviling for reviling, but on the contrary blessing, knowing that you were called to this, that you may inherit a blessing. 10. For “He who would love life And see good days, Let him refrain his tongue from evil, And his lips from speaking deceit. 11. Let him turn away from evil and do good; Let him seek peace and pursue it. 12. For the eyes of the LORD are on the righteous, And His ears are open to their prayers; But the face of the LORD is against those who do evil.” 13. And who is he who will harm you if you become followers of what is good? 14. But even if you should suffer for righteousness’ sake, you are blessed. “And do not be afraid of their threats, nor be troubled.” 15. But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts, and always be ready to give a defense to everyone who asks you a reason for the hope that is in you, with meekness and fear; 16. having a good conscience, that when they defame you as evildoers, those who revile your good conduct in Christ may be ashamed. 17. For it is better, if it is the will of God, to suffer for doing good than for doing evil.

He sent Moses His servant; He sent Aaron, whom He chose. He put among them the words of His signs And of His wonders in the land of Ham.

ወንጌል Gospel

Lk 5 : 12 - 17 [ትግርኛ][ግእዝ][ልሙድ]

12. And it happened when He was in a certain city, that behold, a man who was full of leprosy saw Jesus; and he fell on his face and implored Him, saying, “Lord, if You are willing, You can make me clean.” 13. Then He put out His hand and touched him, saying, “ I am willing; be cleansed.” Immediately the leprosy left him. 14. And He charged him to tell no one, “But go and show yourself to the priest, and make an offering for your cleansing, as a testimony to them, just as Moses commanded.” 15. However, the report went around concerning Him all the more; and great multitudes came together to hear, and to be healed by Him of their infirmities. 16. So He Himself often withdrew into the wilderness and prayed. 17. Now it happened on a certain day, as He was teaching, that there were Pharisees and teachers of the law sitting by, who had come out of every town of Galilee, Judea, and Jerusalem. And the power of the Lord was present to heal them. ‘It is easier for heaven and earth to pass away than for one tittle of the law to fail,’ says the Lord to his desciples.

Lk 23 : 1 - 12 [ትግርኛ][ግእዝ][ልሙድ]

1. Then the whole multitude of them arose and led Him to Pilate. 2. And they began to accuse Him, saying, “We found this fellow perverting the nation, and forbidding to pay taxes to Caesar, saying that He Himself is Christ, a King.” 3. Then Pilate asked Him, saying, “Are You the King of the Jews?” He answered him and said, “It is as you say.” 4. So Pilate said to the chief priests and the crowd, “ I find no fault in this Man.” 5. But they were the more fierce, saying, “He stirs up the people, teaching throughout all Judea, beginning from Galilee to this place.” 6. When Pilate heard of Galilee, he asked if the Man were a Galilean. 7. And as soon as he knew that He belonged to Herod's jurisdiction, he sent Him to Herod, who was also in Jerusalem at that time. 8. Now when Herod saw Jesus, he was exceedingly glad; for he had desired for a long time to see Him, because he had heard many things about Him, and he hoped to see some miracle done by Him. 9. Then he questioned Him with many words, but He answered him nothing. 10. And the chief priests and scribes stood and vehemently accused Him. 11. Then Herod, with his men of war, treated Him with contempt and mocked Him, arrayed Him in a gorgeous robe, and sent Him back to Pilate. 12. That very day Pilate and Herod became friends with each other, for previously they had been at enmity with each other. ‘It is easier for heaven and earth to pass away than for one tittle of the law to fail,’ says the Lord to his desciples.

መልእክተ ጳውሎስ Pauline Epistle

Rom 5 : 15 - end [ትግርኛ][ግእዝ][ልሙድ]

15. But the free gift is not like the offense. For if by the one man's offense many died, much more the grace of God and the gift by the grace of the one Man, Jesus Christ, abounded to many. 16. And the gift is not like that which came through the one who sinned. For the judgment which came from one offense resulted in condemnation, but the free gift which came from many offenses resulted in justification. 17. For if by the one man's offense death reigned through the one, much more those who receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness will reign in life through the One, Jesus Christ. ) 18. Therefore, as through one man's offense judgment came to all men, resulting in condemnation, even so through one Man's righteous act the free gift came to all men, resulting in justification of life. 19. For as by one man's disobedience many were made sinners, so also by one Man's obedience many will be made righteous. 20. More over the law entered that the offense might abound. But where sin abounded, grace abounded much more, 21. so that as sin reigned in death, even so grace might reign through righteousness to eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

ዘካልእ መልእክት Universal Epistle

Js 3 : 1 - 10 [ትግርኛ][ግእዝ][ልሙድ]

1. My brethren, let not many of you become teachers, knowing that we shall receive a stricter judgment. 2. For we all stumble in many things. If anyone does not stumble in word, he is a perfect man, able also to bridle the whole body. 3. Indeed, we put bits in horses’ mouths that they may obey us, and we turn their whole body. 4. Look also at ships: although they are so large and are driven by fierce winds, they are turned by a very small rudder wherever the pilot desires. 5. Even so the tongue is a little member and boasts great things. See how great a forest a little fire kindles! 6. And the tongue is a fire, a world of iniquity. The tongue is so set among our members that it defiles the whole body, and sets on fire the course of nature; and it is set on fire by hell. 7. For every kind of beast and bird, of reptile and creature of the sea, is tamed and has been tamed by mankind. 8. But no man can tame the tongue. It is an unruly evil, full of deadly poison. 9. With it we bless our God and Father, and with it we curse men, who have been made in the similitude of God. 10. Out of the same mouth proceed blessing and cursing. My brethren, these things ought not to be so.

Acts 14 : 11 - 18 [ትግርኛ][ግእዝ][ልሙድ]

11. Now when the people saw what Paul had done, they raised their voices, saying in the Lycaonian language, “The gods have come down to us in the likeness of men!” 12. And Barnabas they called Zeus, and Paul, Hermes, because he was the chief speaker. 13. Then the priest of Zeus, whose temple was in front of their city, brought oxen and garlands to the gates, intending to sacrifice with the multitudes. 14. But when the apostles Barnabas and Paul heard this, they tore their clothes and ran in among the multitude, crying out 15. and saying, “Men, why are you doing these things? We also are men with the same nature as you, and preach to you that you should turn from these useless things to the living God, who made the heaven, the earth, the sea, and all things that are in them, 16. who in bygone generations allowed all nations to walk in their own ways. 17. Nevertheless He did not leave Himself without witness, in that He did good, gave us rain from heaven and fruitful seasons, filling our hearts with food and gladness.” 18. And with these sayings they could scarcely restrain the multitudes from sacrificing to them.

Mt 15 : 21 - 28 [ትግርኛ][ግእዝ][ልሙድ]

21. Then Jesus went out from there and departed to the region of Tyre and Sidon. 22. And behold, a woman of Canaan came from that region and cried out to Him, saying, “Have mercy on me, O Lord, Son of David! My daughter is severely demon - possessed.” 23. But He answered her not a word. And His disciples came and urged Him, saying, “Send her away, for she cries out after us.” 24. But He answered and said, “ I was not sent except to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.” 25. Then she came and worshiped Him, saying, “Lord, help me!” 26. But He answered and said, “It is not good to take the children's bread and throw it to the little dogs.” 27. And she said, “Yes, Lord, yet even the little dogs eat the crumbs which fall from their masters' table.” 28. Then Jesus answered and said to her, “O woman, great is your faith! Let it be to you as you desire.” And her daughter was healed from that very hour. The Lord told his desciples, ‘Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will by no means pass away.’

Jn 2 : 18 - end [ትግርኛ][ግእዝ][ልሙድ]

18. So the Jews answered and said to Him, “What sign do You show to us, since You do these things?” 19. Jesus answered and said to them, “Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up.” 20. Then the Jews said, “It has taken forty - six years to build this temple, and will You raise it up in three days?” 21. But He was speaking of the temple of His body. 22. Therefore, when He had risen from the dead, His disciples remembered that He had said this to them; and they believed the Scripture and the word which Jesus had said. 23. Now when He was in Jerusalem at the Passover, during the feast, many believed in His name when they saw the signs which He did. 24. But Jesus did not commit Himself to them, because He knew all men, 25. and had no need that anyone should testify of man, for He knew what was in man. Gal 1 : 18 - end [ትግርኛ][ግእዝ][ልሙድ]

18. Then after three years I went up to Jerusalem to see Peter, and remained with him fifteen days. 19. But I saw none of the other apostles except James, the Lord's brother. 20. (Now concerning the things which I write to you, indeed, before God, I do not lie. ) 21. Afterward I went into the regions of Syria and Cilicia. 22. And I was unknown by face to the churches of Judea which were in Christ. 23. But they were hearing only, “He who formerly persecuted us now preaches the faith which he once tried to destroy.” 24. And they glorified God in me.

1Pet 2 : 1 - 10 [ትግርኛ][ግእዝ][ልሙድ]

1. Therefore, laying aside all malice, all deceit, hypocrisy, envy, and all evil speaking, 2. as newborn babes, desire the pure milk of the word, that you may grow thereby, 3. if indeed you have tasted that the Lord is gracious. 4. Coming to Him as to a living stone, rejected indeed by men, but chosen by God and precious, 5. you also, as living stones, are being built up a spiritual house, a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ. 6. Therefore it is also contained in the Scripture, “Behold, I lay in Zion A chief cornerstone, elect, precious, And he who believes on Him will by no means be put to shame.” 7. Therefore, to you who believe, He is precious; but to those who are disobedient, “The stone which the builders rejected Has become the chief cornerstone,” 8. and “A stone of stumbling And a rock of offense.” They stumble, being disobedient to the word, to which they also were appointed. 9. But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light; 10. who once were not a people but are now the people of God, who had not obtained mercy but now have obtained mercy.

ግብረ ሃዋርያት Acts

Acts 19 : 21 - 27 [ትግርኛ][ግእዝ][ልሙድ]

21. When these things were accomplished, Paul purposed in the Spirit, when he had passed through Macedonia and Achaia, to go to Jerusalem, saying, “After I have been there, I must also see Rome.” 22. So he sent into Macedonia two of those who ministered to him, Timothy and Erastus, but he himself stayed in Asia for a time. 23. And about that time there arose a great commotion about the Way. 24. For a certain man named Demetrius, a silversmith, who made silver shrines of Diana, brought no small profit to the craftsmen. 25. He called them together with the workers of similar occupation, and said: “Men, you know that we have our prosperity by this trade. 26. More over you see and hear that not only at Ephesus, but throughout almost all Asia, this Paul has persuaded and turned away many people, saying that they are not gods which are made with hands. 27. So not only is this trade of ours in danger of falling into disrepute, but also the temple of the great goddess Diana may be despised and her magnificence destroyed, whom all Asia and the world worship.”

Jn 6 : 15 - 27 [ትግርኛ][ግእዝ][ልሙድ]

15. Therefore when Jesus perceived that they were about to come and take Him by force to make Him king, He departed again to the mountain by Himself alone. 16. Now when evening came, His disciples went down to the sea, 17. got into the boat, and went over the sea toward Capernaum. And it was already dark, and Jesus had not come to them. 18. Then the sea arose because a great wind was blowing. 19. So when they had rowed about three or four miles, they saw Jesus walking on the sea and drawing near the boat; and they were afraid. 20. But He said to them, “It is I; do not be afraid.” 21. Then they willingly received Him into the boat, and immediately the boat was at the land where they were going. 22. On the following day, when the people who were standing on the other side of the sea saw that there was no other boat there, except that one which His disciples had entered, and that Jesus had not entered the boat with His disciples, but His disciples had gone away alone— 23. however, other boats came from Tiberias, near the place where they ate bread after the Lord had given thanks— 24. when the people therefore saw that Jesus was not there, nor His disciples, they also got into boats and came to Capernaum, seeking Jesus. 25. And when they found Him on the other side of the sea, they said to Him, “Rabbi, when did You come here?” 26. Jesus answered them and said, “Most assuredly, I say to you, you seek Me, not because you saw the signs, but because you ate of the loaves and were filled. 27. Do not labor for the food which perishes, but for the food which endures to everlasting life, which the Son of Man will give you, because God the Father has set His seal on Him.” Whoever believes in the SON, have eternal life.

64. But there are some of you who do not believe.” For Jesus knew from the beginning who they were who did not believe, and who would betray Him. 65. 8. I desire therefore that the men pray everywhere, lifting up holy hands, without wrath and doubting; 9. in like manner also, that the women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with propriety and moderation, not with braided hair or gold or pearls or costly clothing, 10. but, which is proper for women professing godliness, with good works. 11. Let a woman learn in silence with all submission. 12. And I do not permit a woman to teach or to have authority over a man, but to be in silence. 13. For Adam was formed first, then Eve. 14. And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived, fell into transgression. 15. 1. Wives, likewise, be submissive to your own husbands, that even if some do not obey the word, they, without a word, may be won by the conduct of their wives, 2. when they observe your chaste conduct accompanied by fear. 3. Do not let your adornment be merely outward—arranging the hair, wearing gold, or putting on fine apparel— 4. rather let it be the hidden person of the heart, with the incorruptible beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is very precious in the sight of God. 5. For in this manner, in former times, the holy women who trusted in God also adorned themselves, being submissive to their own husbands, 6. as Sarah obeyed Abraham, calling him lord, whose daughters you are if you do good and are not afraid with any terror. 7. Husbands, likewise, dwell with them with understanding, giving honor to the wife, as to the weaker vessel, and as being heirs together of the grace of life, that your prayers may not be hindered.

Acts 17 : 24 - 30 [ትግርኛ][ግእዝ][ልሙድ]
