Fire and brimstone and a raging wind shall be the portion of their cup. The righteous Lord loves righteousness; His face beholds the upright.

1. Then Jesus went out and departed from the temple, and His disciples came up to show Him the buildings of the temple. 2. And Jesus said to them, “Do you not see all these things? Assuredly, I say to you, not one stone shall be left here upon another, that shall not be thrown down.” 3. Now as He sat on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to Him privately, saying, “Tell us, when will these things be? And what will be the sign of Your coming, and of the end of the age?” 4. And Jesus answered and said to them: “Take heed that no one deceives you. 5. For many will come in My name, saying, ‘ I am the Christ, ’ and will deceive many. 6. And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not troubled; for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. 7. For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be famines, pestilences, and earthquakes in various places. 8. All these are the beginning of sorrows. 9. “Then they will deliver you up to tribulation and kill you, and you will be hated by all nations for My name's sake. 10. And then many will be offended, will betray one another, and will hate one another. The Lord told his desciples, ‘Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will by no means pass away.’

7. What shall we say then? Is the law sin? Certainly not! On the contrary, I would not have known sin except through the law. But when the officers came and did not find them in the prison, they returned and reported, 23. saying, “Indeed we found the prison shut securely, and the guards standing outside before the doors; but when we opened them, we found no one inside!” 24. Now when the high priest, the captain of the temple, and the chief priests heard these things, they wondered what the outcome would be. 25. So one came and told them, saying, a “Look, the men whom you put in prison are standing in the temple and teaching the people!”

Even so will it be in the day when the Son of Man is revealed. 31. “In that day, he who is on the housetop, and his goods are in the house, let him not come down to take them away. And likewise the one who is in the field, let him not turn back. 32. Remember Lot's wife. 33. Whoever seeks to save his life will lose it, and whoever loses his life will preserve it. 34.
