Ps 89 : 1 - 2 [ትግርኛ][ግእዝ][ልሙድ]O Lord, I will sing of Your mercies forever; I will proclaim Your truth with my mouth from generation to generation; For You said, “Mercy shall be built up forever;”
ወንጌል Gospel
Lk 1 : 1 - 15 [ትግርኛ][ግእዝ][ልሙድ]1. In as much as many have taken in hand to set in order a narrative of those things which have been fulfilled among us, 2. just as those who from the beginning were eyewitnesses and ministers of the word delivered them to us, 3. it seemed good to me also, having had perfect understanding of all things from the very first, to write to you an orderly account, most excellent Theophilus, 4. that you may know the certainty of those things in which you were instructed. 5. There was in the days of Herod, the king of Judea, a certain priest named Zacharias, of the division of Abijah. His wife was of the daughters of Aaron, and her name was Elizabeth. 6. And they were both righteous before God, walking in all the commandments and ordinances of the Lord blameless. 7. But they had no child, because Elizabeth was barren, and they were both well advanced in years. 8. So it was, that while he was serving as priest before God in the order of his division, 9. according to the custom of the priesthood, his lot fell to burn incense when he went into the temple of the Lord. 10. And the whole multitude of the people was praying outside at the hour of incense. 11. Then an angel of the Lord appeared to him, standing on the right side of the altar of incense. 12. And when Zacharias saw him, he was troubled, and fear fell upon him. 13. But the angel said to him, “Do not be afraid, Zacharias, for your prayer is heard; and your wife Elizabeth will bear you a son, and you shall call his name John. 14. And you will have joy and gladness, and many will rejoice at his birth. 15. For he will be great in the sight of the Lord, and shall drink neither wine nor strong drink. He will also be filled with the Holy Spirit, even from his mother's womb. ‘It is easier for heaven and earth to pass away than for one tittle of the law to fail,’ says the Lord to his desciples.

መልእክተ ጳውሎስ Pauline Epistle
Gal 3 : 17 - end [ትግርኛ][ግእዝ][ልሙድ]17. And this I say, that the law, which was four hundred and thirty years later, cannot annul the covenant that was confirmed before by God in Christ, that it should make the promise of no effect. 18. For if the inheritance is of the law, it is no longer of promise; but God gave it to Abraham by promise. 19. What purpose then does the law serve? It was added because of transgressions, till the Seed should come to whom the promise was made; and it was appointed through angels by the hand of a mediator. 20. Now a mediator does not mediate for one only, but God is one. 21. Is the law then against the promises of God? Certainly not! For if there had been a law given which could have given life, truly righteousness would have been by the law. 22. But the Scripture has confined all under sin, that the promise by faith in Jesus Christ might be given to those who believe. 23. But before faith came, we were kept under guard by the law, kept for the faith which would afterward be revealed. 24. Therefore the law was our tutor to bring us to Christ, that we might be justified by faith. 25. But after faith has come, we are no longer under a tutor. 26. For you are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus. 27. For as many of you as were baptized into Christ have put on Christ. 28. There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is neither male nor female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus. 29. And if you are Christ's, then you are Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise.

2Jn 1 : 1 - 7 [ትግርኛ][ግእዝ][ልሙድ]1. The Elder, To the elect lady and her children, whom I love in truth, and not only I, but also all those who have known the truth, 2. because of the truth which abides in us and will be with us forever: 3. Grace, mercy, and peace will be with you from God the Father and from the Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of the Father, in truth and love. 4. I rejoiced greatly that I have found some of your children walking in truth, as we received commandment from the Father. 5. And now I plead with you, lady, not as though I wrote a new commandment to you, but that which we have had from the beginning: that we love one another. 6. This is love, that we walk according to His commandments. This is the commandment, that as you have heard from the beginning, you should walk in it. 7. For many deceivers have gone out into the world who do not confess Jesus Christ as coming in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an antichrist.

Acts 1 : 12 - 14 [ትግርኛ][ግእዝ][ልሙድ]12. Then they returned to Jerusalem from the mount called Olivet, which is near Jerusalem, a Sabbath day's journey. 13. And when they had entered, they went up into the upper room where they were staying: Peter, James, John, and Andrew; Philip and Thomas; Bartholomew and Matthew; James the son of Alphaeus and Simon the Zealot; and Judas the son of James. 14. These all continued with one accord in prayer and supplication, with the women and Mary the mother of Jesus, and with His brothers.

Lk 1 : 39 - 56 [ትግርኛ][ግእዝ][ልሙድ]39. Now Mary arose in those days and went into the hill country with haste, to a city of Judah, 40. and entered the house of Zacharias and greeted Elizabeth. 41. And it happened, when Elizabeth heard the greeting of Mary, that the babe leaped in her womb; and Elizabeth was filled with the Holy Spirit. 42. Then she spoke out with a loud voice and said, “Blessed are you among women, and blessed is the fruit of your womb! 43. But why is this granted to me, that the mother of my Lord should come to me? 44. For indeed, as soon as the voice of your greeting sounded in my ears, the babe leaped in my womb for joy. 45. Blessed is she who believed, for there will be a fulfillment of those things which were told her from the Lord.” 46. And Mary said: “My soul magnifies the Lord, 47. And my spirit has rejoiced in God my Savior. 48. For He has regarded the lowly state of His maidservant; For behold, henceforth all generations will call me blessed. 49. For He who is mighty has done great things for me, And holy is His name. 50. And His mercy is on those who fear Him From generation to generation. 51. He has shown strength with His arm; He has scattered the proud in the imagination of their hearts. 52. He has put down the mighty from their thrones, And exalted the lowly. 53. He has filled the hungry with good things, And the rich He has sent away empty. 54. He has helped His servant Israel, In remembrance of His mercy, 55. As He spoke to our fathers, To Abraham and to his seed forever.” 56. And Mary remained with her about three months, and returned to her house. Mt 4 : 5 - 11 [ትግርኛ][ግእዝ][ልሙድ]5. Then the devil took Him up into the holy city, set Him on the pinnacle of the temple, 6. and said to Him, “If You are the Son of God, throw Yourself down. For it is written: ‘He shall give His angels charge over you, ’ and, ‘In their hands they shall bear you up, Lest you dash your foot against a stone.’” 7. Jesus said to him, “It is written again, ‘You shall not tempt the Lord your God.’” 8. Again, the devil took Him up on an exceedingly high mountain, and showed Him all the kingdoms of the world and their glory. 9. And he said to Him, “All these things I will give You if You will fall down and worship me.” 10. Then Jesus said to him, “Away with you, Satan! For it is written, ‘You shall worship the LORD your God, and Him only you shall serve.’” 11. Then the devil left Him, and behold, angels came and ministered to Him. The Lord told his desciples, ‘Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will by no means pass away.’

Jn 5 : 39 - end [ትግርኛ][ግእዝ][ልሙድ]39. You search the Scriptures, for in them you think you have eternal life; and these are they which testify of Me. 40. But you are not willing to come to Me that you may have life. 41. “ I do not receive honor from men. 42. But I know you, that you do not have the love of God in you. 43. I have come in My Father's name, and you do not receive Me; if another comes in his own name, him you will receive. 44. How can you believe, who receive honor from one another, and do not seek the honor that comes from the only God? 45. Do not think that I shall accuse you to the Father; there is one who accuses you—Moses, in whom you trust. 46. For if you believed Moses, you would believe Me; for he wrote about Me. 47. Heb 12 : 15 - 21 [ትግርኛ][ግእዝ][ልሙድ]15. looking carefully lest anyone fall short of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up cause trouble, and by this many become defiled; 16. lest there be any fornicator or profane person like Esau, who for one morsel of food sold his birthright. 17. For you know that afterward, when he wanted to inherit the blessing, he was rejected, for he found no place for repentance, though he sought it diligently with tears. 18. For you have not come to the mountain that may be touched and that burned with fire, and to blackness and darkness and tempest, 19. and the sound of a trumpet and the voice of words, so that those who heard it begged that the word should not be spoken to them anymore. 20. (For they could not endure what was commanded: “And if so much as a beast touches the mountain, it shall be stoned or shot with an arrow.” 21. And so terrifying was the sight that Moses said, “ I am exceedingly afraid and trembling.” )

Jude 1 : 1 - 9 [ትግርኛ][ግእዝ][ልሙድ]1. Jude, a bondservant of Jesus Christ, and brother of James, To those who are called, sanctified by God the Father, and preserved in Jesus Christ: 2. Mercy, peace, and love be multiplied to you. 3. Beloved, while I was very diligent to write to you concerning our common salvation, I found it necessary to write to you exhorting you to contend earnestly for the faith which was once for all delivered to the saints. 4. For certain men have crept in unnoticed, who long ago were marked out for this condemnation, ungodly men, who turn the grace of our God into lewdness and deny the only Lord God and our Lord Jesus Christ. 5. But I want to remind you, though you once knew this, that the Lord, having saved the people out of the land of Egypt, afterward destroyed those who did not believe. 6. And the angels who did not keep their proper domain, but left their own abode, He has reserved in everlasting chains under darkness for the judgment of the great day; 7. as Sodom and Gomorrah, and the cities around them in a similar manner to these, having given themselves over to sexual immorality and gone after strange flesh, are set forth as an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire. 8. Likewise also these dreamers defile the flesh, reject authority, and speak evil of dignitaries. 9. Yet Michael the archangel, in contending with the devil, when he disputed about the body of Moses, dared not bring against him a reviling accusation, but said, “The Lord rebuke you!”

And seeing one of them suffer wrong, he defended and avenged him who was oppressed, and struck down the Egyptian. 25. For he supposed that his brethren would have understood that God would deliver them by his hand, but they did not understand. 26. And the next day he appeared to two of them as they were fighting, and tried to reconcile them, saying, ‘Men, you are brethren; why do you wrong one another? ’ 27. But he who did his neighbor wrong pushed him away, saying, ‘Who made you a ruler and a judge over us? 28. Do you want to kill me as you did the Egyptian yesterday? ’ 29. Then, at this saying, Moses fled and became a dweller in the land of Midian, where he had two sons.

For His disciples had gone away into the city to buy food. 9. Then the woman of Samaria said to Him, “How is it that You, being a Jew, ask a drink from me, a Samaritan woman?” For Jews have no dealings with Samaritans. 10. The woman said to Him, “Sir, You have nothing to draw with, and the well is deep. Where then do You get that living water? 12. (Now concerning the things which I write to you, indeed, before God, I do not lie. ) 21. Afterward I went into the regions of Syria and Cilicia. 22. And I was unknown by face to the churches of Judea which were in Christ. 23. But they were hearing only, “He who formerly persecuted us now preaches the faith which he once tried to destroy.” 24. Js 1 : 1 - 12 [ትግርኛ][ግእዝ][ልሙድ]1. James, a bondservant of God and of the Lord Jesus Christ, To the twelve tribes which are scattered abroad: Greetings. 2. My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, 3. knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience. 4. But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing. 5. If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. 6. But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind. 7. For let not that man suppose that he will receive anything from the Lord; 8. he is a double - minded man, unstable in all his ways. 9. Let the lowly brother glory in his exaltation, 10. but the rich in his humiliation, because as a flower of the field he will pass away. 11. For no sooner has the sun risen with a burning heat than it withers the grass; its flower falls, and its beautiful appearance perishes. So the rich man also will fade away in his pursuits. 12. Blessed is the man who endures temptation; for when he has been approved, he will receive the crown of life which the Lord has promised to those who love Him.

Rom 7 : 19 - end [ትግርኛ][ግእዝ][ልሙድ]19. For the good that I will to do, I do not do; but the evil I will not to do, that I practice. 20. Now if I do what I will not to do, it is no longer I who do it, but sin that dwells in me. 21. I find then a law, that evil is present with me, the one who wills to do good. 22. For I delight in the law of God according to the inward man. 23. But I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members. 24. O wretched man that I am! Who will deliver me from this body of death? 25. I thank God—through Jesus Christ our Lord! So then, with the mind I myself serve the law of God, but with the flesh the law of sin.

You murder and covet and cannot obtain. You fight and war. Yet you do not have because you do not ask. 3. You ask and do not receive, because you ask amiss, that you may spend it on your pleasures. 4. Adulterers and adulteresses! Do you not know that friendship with the world is enmity with God? Whoever therefore wants to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God. 5. Or do you think that the Scripture says in vain, “The Spirit who dwells in us yearns jealously” ? 6. But He gives more grace. Therefore He says: “God resists the proud, But gives grace to the humble.” 7. Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you. 8. Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double - minded. 9. Lament and mourn and weep! Let your laughter be turned to mourning and your joy to gloom. 10. Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and He will lift you up.

But when her masters saw that their hope of profit was gone, they seized Paul and Silas and dragged them into the marketplace to the authorities. 20. Ps 18 : 30 - 31 [ትግርኛ][ግእዝ][ልሙድ]For in You I shall be delivered from ordeals, And in my God I shall leap over a wall. My God, His way is blameless.
ወንጌል Gospel
Mk 9 : 39 - end [ትግርኛ][ግእዝ][ልሙድ]39. But Jesus said, “Do not forbid him, for no one who works a miracle in My name can soon afterward speak evil of Me. 40. For he who is not against us is on our side. 41. For whoever gives you a cup of water to drink in My name, because you belong to Christ, assuredly, I say to you, he will by no means lose his reward. 42. “But whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in Me to stumble, it would be better for him if a millstone were hung around his neck, and he were thrown into the sea. 43. If your hand causes you to sin, cut it off. It is better for you to enter into life maimed, rather than having two hands, to go to hell, into the fire that shall never be quenched— 44. where ‘Their worm does not die And the fire is not quenched. ’ 45. And if your foot causes you to sin, cut it off. It is better for you to enter life lame, rather than having two feet, to be cast into hell, into the fire that shall never be quenched— 46. where ‘Their worm does not die And the fire is not quenched. ’ 47. And if your eye causes you to sin, pluck it out. It is better for you to enter the kingdom of God with one eye, rather than having two eyes, to be cast into hell fire— 48. where ‘Their worm does not die And the fire is not quenched. ’ 49. “For everyone will be seasoned with fire, and every sacrifice will be seasoned with salt. 50. Salt is good, but if the salt loses its flavor, how will you season it? Have salt in yourselves, and have peace with one another.” He who has ears to hear, let him hear!

Lk 21 : 1 - 8 [ትግርኛ][ግእዝ][ልሙድ]1. And He looked up and saw the rich putting their gifts into the treasury, 2. and He saw also a certain poor widow putting in two mites. 3. So He said, “Truly I say to you that this poor widow has put in more than all; 4. for all these out of their abundance have put in offerings for God, but she out of her poverty put in all the livelihood that she had.” 5. Then, as some spoke of the temple, how it was adorned with beautiful stones and donations, He said, 6. “These things which you see—the days will come in which not one stone shall be left upon another that shall not be thrown down.” 7. So they asked Him, saying, “Teacher, but when will these things be? And what sign will there be when these things are about to take place?” 8. And He said: “Take heed that you not be deceived. For many will come in My name, saying, ‘ I am He, ’ and, ‘ The time has drawn near. ’ Therefore do not go after them. ‘It is easier for heaven and earth to pass away than for one tittle of the law to fail,’ says the Lord to his desciples.

2Tim 3 : 1 - end [ትግርኛ][ግእዝ][ልሙድ]1. But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come: 2. For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, 3. unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self - control, brutal, despisers of good, 4. traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, 5. having a form of godliness but denying its power. And from such people turn away! 6. For of this sort are those who creep into households and make captives of gullible women loaded down with sins, led away by various lusts, 7. always learning and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth. 8. Now as Jannes and Jambres resisted Moses, so do these also resist the truth: men of corrupt minds, disapproved concerning the faith; 9. but they will progress no further, for their folly will be manifest to all, as theirs also was. 10. But you have carefully followed my doctrine, manner of life, purpose, faith, longsuffering, love, perseverance, 11. persecutions, afflictions, which happened to me at Antioch, at Iconium, at Lystra—what persecutions I endured. And out of them all the Lord delivered me. 12. Yes, and all who desire to live godly in Christ Jesus will suffer persecution. 13. But evil men and impostors will grow worse and worse, deceiving and being deceived. 14. But you must continue in the things which you have learned and been assured of, knowing from whom you have learned them, 15. and that from childhood you have known the Holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus. 16. All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, 17. that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.

Js 2 : 14 - 20 [ትግርኛ][ግእዝ][ልሙድ]14. What does it profit, my brethren, if someone says he has faith but does not have works? Can faith save him? 15. If a brother or sister is naked and destitute of daily food, 16. and one of you says to them, “Depart in peace, be warmed and filled,” but you do not give them the things which are needed for the body, what does it profit? 17. Thus also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead. 18. But someone will say, “You have faith, and I have works.” Show me your faith without your works, and I will show you my faith by my works. 19. You believe that there is one God. You do well. Even the demons believe—and tremble! 20. But do you want to know, O foolish man, that faith without works is dead?

Acts 18 : 24 - end [ትግርኛ][ግእዝ][ልሙድ]24. Now a certain Jew named Apollos, born at Alexandria, an eloquent man and mighty in the Scriptures, came to Ephesus. 25. This man had been instructed in the way of the Lord; and being fervent in spirit, he spoke and taught accurately the things of the Lord, though he knew only the baptism of John. 26. So he began to speak boldly in the synagogue. When Aquila and Priscilla heard him, they took him aside and explained to him the way of God more accurately. 27. And when he desired to cross to Achaia, the brethren wrote, exhorting the disciples to receive him; and when he arrived, he greatly helped those who had believed through grace; 28. for he vigorously refuted the Jews publicly, showing from the Scriptures that Jesus is the Christ.

Lk 6 : 20 - 36 [ትግርኛ][ግእዝ][ልሙድ]20. Then He lifted up His eyes toward His disciples, and said: “Blessed are you poor, For yours is the kingdom of God. 21. Blessed are you who hunger now, For you shall be filled. Blessed are you who weep now, For you shall laugh. 22. Blessed are you when men hate you, And when they exclude you, And revile you, and cast out your name as evil, For the Son of Man's sake. 23. Rejoice in that day and leap for joy! For indeed your reward is great in heaven, For in like manner their fathers did to the prophets. 24. “But woe to you who are rich, For you have received your consolation. 25. Woe to you who are full, For you shall hunger. Woe to you who laugh now, For you shall mourn and weep. 26. Woe to you when all men speak well of you, For so did their fathers to the false prophets. 27. “But I say to you who hear: Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, 28. bless those who curse you, and pray for those who spitefully use you. 29. To him who strikes you on the one cheek, offer the other also. And from him who takes away your cloak, do not withhold your tunic either. 30. Give to everyone who asks of you. And from him who takes away your goods do not ask them back. 31. And just as you want men to do to you, you also do to them likewise. 32. “But if you love those who love you, what credit is that to you? For even sinners love those who love them. 33. And if you do good to those who do good to you, what credit is that to you? For even sinners do the same. 34. And if you lend to those from whom you hope to receive back, what credit is that to you? For even sinners lend to sinners to receive as much back. 35. But love your enemies, do good, and lend, hoping for nothing in return; and your reward will be great, and you will be sons of the Most High. For He is kind to the unthankful and evil. 36. Therefore be merciful, just as your Father also is merciful. ‘It is easier for heaven and earth to pass away than for one tittle of the law to fail,’ says the Lord to his desciples.

Philemon 1 : 10 - end [ትግርኛ][ግእዝ][ልሙድ]10. I appeal to you for my son Onesimus, whom I have begotten while in my chains, 11. who once was unprofitable to you, but now is profitable to you and to me. 12. I am sending him back. You therefore receive him, that is, my own heart, 13. whom I wished to keep with me, that on your behalf he might minister to me in my chains for the gospel. 14. But without your consent I wanted to do nothing, that your good deed might not be by compulsion, as it were, but voluntary. 15. For perhaps he departed for a while for this purpose, that you might receive him forever, 16. no longer as a slave but more than a slave—a beloved brother, especially to me but how much more to you, both in the flesh and in the Lord. 17. If then you count me as a partner, receive him as you would me. 18. But if he has wronged you or owes anything, put that on my account. 19. I, Paul, am writing with my own hand. I will repay—not to mention to you that you owe me even your own self besides. 20. Yes, brother, let me have joy from you in the Lord; refresh my heart in the Lord. 21. Having confidence in your obedience, I write to you, knowing that you will do even more than I say. 22. But, meanwhile, also prepare a guest room for me, for I trust that through your prayers I shall be granted to you. 23. Epaphras, my fellow prisoner in Christ Jesus, greets you, 24. as do Mark, Aristarchus, Demas, Luke, my fellow laborers. 25. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit. Amen.

1Pet 5 : 5 - end [ትግርኛ][ግእዝ][ልሙድ]5. Likewise you younger people, submit yourselves to your elders. Yes, all of you be submissive to one another, and be clothed with humility, for “God resists the proud, But gives grace to the humble.” 6. Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time, 7. casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you. 8. Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. 9. Resist him, steadfast in the faith, knowing that the same sufferings are experienced by your brotherhood in the world. 10. But may the God of all grace, who called usb to His eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after you have suffered a while, perfect, establish, strengthen, and settle you. 11. To Him be the glory and the dominion forever and ever. Amen. 12. By Silvanus, our faithful brother as I consider him, I have written to you briefly, exhorting and testifying that this is the true grace of God in which you stand. 13. She who is in Babylon, elect together with you, greets you; and so does Mark my son. 14. Greet one another with a kiss of love. Peace to you all who are in Christ Jesus. Amen.

1Cor 8 : 7 - end [ትግርኛ][ግእዝ][ልሙድ]7. However, there is not in everyone that knowledge; for some, with consciousness of the idol, until now eat it as a thing offered to an idol; and their conscience, being weak, is defiled. 8. But food does not commend us to God; for neither if we eat are we the better, nor if we do not eat are we the worse. 9. But beware lest somehow this liberty of yours become a stumbling block to those who are weak. 10. For if anyone sees you who have knowledge eating in an idol's temple, will not the conscience of him who is weak be emboldened to eat those things offered to idols? 11. And because of your knowledge shall the weak brother perish, for whom Christ died? 12. But when you thus sin against the brethren, and wound their weak conscience, you sin against Christ. 13. Therefore, if food makes my brother stumble, I will never again eat meat, lest I make my brother stumble.

Beloved, you do faithfully whatever you do for the brethren and for strangers, 6. who have borne witness of your love before the church. If you send them forward on their journey in a manner worthy of God, you will do well, 7. because they went forth for His name's sake, taking nothing from the Gentiles. 8. Col 2 : 16 - end [ትግርኛ][ግእዝ][ልሙድ]16. So let no one judge you in food or in drink, or regarding a festival or a new moon or sabbaths, 17. which are a shadow of things to come, but the substance is of Christ. 18. Let no one cheat you of your reward, taking delight in false humility and worship of angels, intruding into those things which he has not seen, vainly puffed up by his fleshly mind, 19. and not holding fast to the Head, from whom all the body, nourished and knit together by joints and ligaments, grows with the increase that is from God. 20. Therefore, if you died with Christ from the basic principles of the world, why, as though living in the world, do you subject yourselves to regulations— 21. “Do not touch, do not taste, do not handle,” 22. which all concern things which perish with the using—according to the commandments and doctrines of men? 23. These things indeed have an appearance of wisdom in self-imposed religion, false humility, and neglect of the body, but are of no value against the indulgence of the flesh.

Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded. 9. Lament and mourn and weep! Let your laughter be turned to mourning and your joy to gloom. 10. Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and He will lift you up. 11. Do not speak evil of one another, brethren. He who speaks evil of a brother and judges his brother, speaks evil of the law and judges the law. But if you judge the law, you are not a doer of the law but a judge. 12. There is one Lawgiver, who is able to save and to destroy. Who are you to judge another?
ግብረ ሃዋርያት Acts
Acts 5 : 17 - 30 [ትግርኛ][ግእዝ][ልሙድ]17. Then the high priest rose up, and all those who were with him (which is the sect of the Sadducees), and they were filled with indignation, 18. and laid their hands on the apostles and put them in the common prison. 19. But at night an angel of the Lord opened the prison doors and brought them out, and said, 20. “Go, stand in the temple and speak to the people all the words of this life.” 21. And when they heard that, they entered the temple early in the morning and taught. But the high priest and those with him came and called the council together, with all the elders of the children of Israel, and sent to the prison to have them brought. 22. But when the officers came and did not find them in the prison, they returned and reported, 23. saying, “Indeed we found the prison shut securely, and the guards standing outside before the doors; but when we opened them, we found no one inside!” 24. Now when the high priest, the captain of the temple, and the chief priests heard these things, they wondered what the outcome would be. 25. So one came and told them, saying, a “Look, the men whom you put in prison are standing in the temple and teaching the people!” 26. Then the captain went with the officers and brought them without violence, for they feared the people, lest they should be stoned. 27. And when they had brought them, they set them before the council. And the high priest asked them, 28. saying, “Did we not strictly command you not to teach in this name? And look, you have filled Jerusalem with your doctrine, and intend to bring this Man's blood on us!” 29. But Peter and the other apostles answered and said: “We ought to obey God rather than men. 30. The God of our fathers raised up Jesus whom you murdered by hanging on a tree.
መዝሙር Psalm
Ps 68 : 9 - 10 [ትግርኛ][ግእዝ][ልሙድ]For the zeal of Your house consumed me, And the insults of those who disgraced You fell on me. I bent down my soul with fasting, And it became a disgrace for me.
ወንጌል Gospel
Jn 2 : 12 - end [ትግርኛ][ግእዝ][ልሙድ]12. After this He went down to Capernaum, He, His mother, His brothers, and His disciples; and they did not stay there many days. 13. Now the Passover of the Jews was at hand, and Jesus went up to Jerusalem. 14. And He found in the temple those who sold oxen and sheep and doves, and the money changers doing business. 15. When He had made a whip of cords, He drove them all out of the temple, with the sheep and the oxen, and poured out the changers’ money and overturned the tables. 16. And He said to those who sold doves, “Take these things away! Do not make My Father's house a house of merchandise!” 17. Then His disciples remembered that it was written, “Zeal for Your house has eaten Me up.” 18. So the Jews answered and said to Him, “What sign do You show to us, since You do these things?” 19. Jesus answered and said to them, “Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up.” 20. Then the Jews said, “It has taken forty-six years to build this temple, and will You raise it up in three days?” 21. But He was speaking of the temple of His body. 22. Therefore, when He had risen from the dead, His disciples remembered that He had said this to them; and they believed the Scripture and the word which Jesus had said. 23. Now when He was in Jerusalem at the Passover, during the feast, many believed in His name when they saw the signs which He did. 24. But Jesus did not commit Himself to them, because He knew all men, 25. and had no need that anyone should testify of man, for He knew what was in man. Whoever believes in the SON, have eternal life.
