I will give thanks to You, O Lord, with my whole heart; I will tell of all Your wondrous things; I will be glad and rejoice in You.

ወንጌል Gospel

16. Therefore some of the Pharisees said, “This Man is not from God, because He does not keep the Sabbath.” Others said, “How can a man who is a sinner do such signs?” And there was a division among them. 17. They said to the blind man again, “What do you say about Him because He opened your eyes?” He said, “He is a prophet.” 18. But the Jews did not believe concerning him, that he had been blind and received his sight, until they called the parents of him who had received his sight. 19. And they asked them, saying, “Is this your son, who you say was born blind? How then does he now see?” 20. His parents answered them and said, “We know that this is our son, and that he was born blind; 21. but by what means he now sees we do not know, or who opened his eyes we do not know. He is of age; ask him. He will speak for himself.” 22. His parents said these things because they feared the Jews, for the Jews had agreed already that if anyone confessed that He was Christ, he would be put out of the synagogue. 23. Therefore his parents said, “He is of age; ask him.” Whoever believes in the SON, have eternal life.

The grass withers, And its flower falls away, 25. But the word of the LORD endures forever.” Now this is the word which by the gospel was preached to you.

Then the man in whom the evil spirit was leaped on them, overpowered them, and prevailed against them, so that they fled out of that house naked and wounded. 17. And many who had believed came confessing and telling their deeds. 19. Also, many of those who had practiced magic brought their books together and burned them in the sight of all. And they counted up the value of them, and it totaled fifty thousand pieces of silver. 20. So the word of the Lord grew mightily and prevailed.

1. What advantage then has the Jew, or what is the profit of circumcision? 2. Much in every way! Chiefly because to them were committed the oracles of God. 3. For what if some did not believe? Will their unbelief make the faithfulness of God without effect? 4. Certainly not! Indeed, let God be true but every man a liar. As it is written: “That You may be justified in Your words, And may overcome when You are judged.” 5. But if our unrighteousness demonstrates the righteousness of God, what shall we say? Is God unjust who inflicts wrath? ( I speak as a man. ) 6. Certainly not! For then how will God judge the world? 7. For if the truth of God has increased through my lie to His glory, why am I also still judged as a sinner?

But while everyone marveled at all the things which Jesus did, He said to His disciples, 44. “Let these words sink down into your ears, for the Son of Man is about to be betrayed into the hands of men.” 45. If you really fulfill the royal law according to the Scripture, “You shall love your neighbor as yourself,” you do well; 9. but if you show partiality, you commit sin, and are convicted by the law as transgressors.

The queen of the South will rise up in the judgment with the men of this generation and condemn them, for she came from the ends of the earth to hear the wisdom of Solomon; and indeed a greater than Solomon is here. 32. The men of Nineveh will rise up in the judgment with this generation and condemn it, for they repented at the preaching of Jonah; and indeed a greater than Jonah is here. 33. “No one, when he has lit a lamp, puts it in a secret place or under a basket, but on a lampstand, that those who come in may see the light. 34. The lamp of the body is the eye. Therefore, when your eye is good, your whole body also is full of light. But when your eye is bad, your body also is full of darkness. 35. Therefore take heed that the light which is in you is not darkness. 36. If then your whole body is full of light, having no part dark, the whole body will be full of light, as when the bright shining of a lamp gives you light.” ‘It is easier for heaven and earth to pass away than for one tittle of the law to fail,’ says the Lord to his desciples.
