Ps 27 : 4 - 5 [ትግርኛ][ግእዝ][ልሙድ]One thing I ask from the Lord; this I will seek, That I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, And behold the delights of the Lord, And visit His temple.
ወንጌል Gospel
Jn 1 : 37 - 39 [ትግርኛ][ግእዝ][ልሙድ]37. The two disciples heard him speak, and they followed Jesus. 38. Then Jesus turned, and seeing them following, said to them, “What do you seek?” They said to Him, “Rabbi” (which is to say, when translated, Teacher), “where are You staying?” 39. He said to them, “Come and see.” They came and saw where He was staying, and remained with Him that day (now it was about the tenth hour). Whoever believes in the SON, have eternal life.

2Tim 1 : 7 - 14 [ትግርኛ][ግእዝ][ልሙድ]7. For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind. 8. Therefore do not be ashamed of the testimony of our Lord, nor of me His prisoner, but share with me in the sufferings for the gospel according to the power of God, 9. who has saved us and called us with a holy calling, not according to our works, but according to His own purpose and grace which was given to us in Christ Jesus before time began, 10. but has now been revealed by the appearing of our Savior Jesus Christ, who has abolished death and brought life and immortality to light through the gospel, 11. to which I was appointed a preacher, an apostle, and a teacher of the Gentiles. 12. For this reason I also suffer these things; nevertheless I am not ashamed, for I know whom I have believed and am persuaded that He is able to keep what I have committed to Him until that Day. 13. Hold fast the pattern of sound words which you have heard from me, in faith and love which are in Christ Jesus. 14. That good thing which was committed to you, keep by the Holy Spirit who dwells in us.
ዘካልእ መልእክት Universal Epistle
1Pet 5 : 2 - 8 [ትግርኛ][ግእዝ][ልሙድ]2. Shepherd the flock of God which is among you, serving as overseers, not by compulsion but willingly, not for dishonest gain but eagerly; 3. nor as being lords over those entrusted to you, but being examples to the flock; 4. and when the Chief Shepherd appears, you will receive the crown of glory that does not fade away. 5. Likewise you younger people, submit yourselves to your elders. Yes, all of you be submissive to one another, and be clothed with humility, for “God resists the proud, But gives grace to the humble.” 6. Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time, 7. casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you. 8. Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour.

Acts 7 : 54 - end [ትግርኛ][ግእዝ][ልሙድ]54. When they heard these things they were cut to the heart, and they gnashed at him with their teeth. 55. But he, being full of the Holy Spirit, gazed into heaven and saw the glory of God, and Jesus standing at the right hand of God, 56. and said, “Look! I see the heavens opened and the Son of Man standing at the right hand of God!” 57. Then they cried out with a loud voice, stopped their ears, and ran at him with one accord; 58. and they cast him out of the city and stoned him. And the witnesses laid down their clothes at the feet of a young man named Saul. 59. And they stoned Stephen as he was calling on God and saying, “Lord Jesus, receive my spirit.” 60. Then he knelt down and cried out with a loud voice, “Lord, do not charge them with this sin.” And when he had said this, he fell asleep.

Lk 21 : 1 - 6 [ትግርኛ][ግእዝ][ልሙድ]1. And He looked up and saw the rich putting their gifts into the treasury, 2. and He saw also a certain poor widow putting in two mites. 3. So He said, “Truly I say to you that this poor widow has put in more than all; 4. for all these out of their abundance have put in offerings for God, but she out of her poverty put in all the livelihood that she had.” 5. Then, as some spoke of the temple, how it was adorned with beautiful stones and donations, He said, 6. “These things which you see—the days will come in which not one stone shall be left upon another that shall not be thrown down.” ‘It is easier for heaven and earth to pass away than for one tittle of the law to fail,’ says the Lord to his desciples.

So they watched Him, and sent spies who pretended to be righteous, that they might seize on His words, in order to deliver Him to the power and the authority of the governor. 21. Then they asked Him, saying, “Teacher, we know that You say and teach rightly, and You do not show personal favoritism, but teach the way of God in truth: 22. Is it lawful for us to pay taxes to Caesar or not?” 23. But He perceived their craftiness, and said to them, “Why do you test Me? 24. Show Me a denarius. Whose image and inscription does it have?” They answered and said, “Caesar's.” 25. And He said to them, “Render therefore to Caesar the things that are Caesar's, and to God the things that are God's.” 26. But they could not catch Him in His words in the presence of the people. And they marveled at His answer and kept silent. ‘It is easier for heaven and earth to pass away than for one tittle of the law to fail,’ says the Lord to his desciples.

Mt 22 : 15 - 22 [ትግርኛ][ግእዝ][ልሙድ]15. Then the Pharisees went and plotted how they might entangle Him in His talk. 16. And they sent to Him their disciples with the Herodians, saying, “Teacher, we know that You are true, and teach the way of God in truth; nor do You care about anyone, for You do not regard the person of men. 17. Tell us, therefore, what do You think? Is it lawful to pay taxes to Caesar, or not?” 18. But Jesus perceived their wickedness, and said, “Why do you test Me, you hypocrites? 19. Show Me the tax money.” So they brought Him a denarius. 20. And He said to them, “Whose image and inscription is this?” 21. They said to Him, “Caesar's.” And He said to them, “Render therefore to Caesar the things that are Caesar's, and to God the things that are God's.” 22. Titus 1 : 7 - 13 [ትግርኛ][ግእዝ][ልሙድ]7. For a bishop must be blameless, as a steward of God, not self - willed, not quick - tempered, not given to wine, not violent, not greedy for money, 8. but hospitable, a lover of what is good, sober - minded, just, holy, self - controlled, 9. holding fast the faithful word as he has been taught, that he may be able, by sound doctrine, both to exhort and convict those who contradict. 10. For there are many insubordinate, both idle talkers and deceivers, especially those of the circumcision, 11. whose mouths must be stopped, who subvert whole households, teaching things which they ought not, for the sake of dishonest gain. 12. One of them, a prophet of their own, said, “Cretans are always liars, evil beasts, lazy gluttons.” 13. This testimony is true. Therefore rebuke them sharply, that they may be sound in the faith,

1Pet 1 : 3 - 9 [ትግርኛ][ግእዝ][ልሙድ]3. Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His abundant mercy has begotten us again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, 4. to an inheritance incorruptible and undefiled and that does not fade away, reserved in heaven for you, 5. who are kept by the power of God through faith for salvation ready to be revealed in the last time. 6. In this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while, if need be, you have been grieved by various trials, 7. that the genuineness of your faith, being much more precious than gold that perishes, though it is tested by fire, may be found to praise, honor, and glory at the revelation of Jesus Christ, 8. whom having not seen you love. Though now you do not see Him, yet believing, you rejoice with joy inexpressible and full of glory, 9. receiving the end of your faith—the salvation of your souls.

Titus 3 : 8 - end [ትግርኛ][ግእዝ][ልሙድ]8. This is a faithful saying, and these things I want you to affirm constantly, that those who have believed in God should be careful to maintain good works. These things are good and profitable to men. 9. But avoid foolish disputes, genealogies, contentions, and strivings about the law; for they are unprofitable and useless. 10. Reject a divisive man after the first and second admonition, 11. knowing that such a person is warped and sinning, being self - condemned. 12. When I send Artemas to you, or Tychicus, be diligent to come to me at Nicopolis, for I have decided to spend the winter there. 13. Send Zenas the lawyer and Apollos on their journey with haste, that they may lack nothing. 14. And let our people also learn to maintain good works, to meet urgent needs, that they may not be unfruitful. 15. All who are with me greet you. Greet those who love us in the faith. Grace be with you all. Amen.

If what you heard from the beginning abides in you, you also will abide in the Son and in the Father. 25. And this is the promise that He has promised us—eternal life. 26. Then the priest of Zeus, whose temple was in front of their city, brought oxen and garlands to the gates, intending to sacrifice with the multitudes. 14. Heb 12 : 7 - 15 [ትግርኛ][ግእዝ][ልሙድ]7. If you endure chastening, God deals with you as with sons; for what son is there whom a father does not chasten? 8. But if you are without chastening, of which all have become partakers, then you are illegitimate and not sons. 9. Furthermore, we have had human fathers who corrected us, and we paid them respect. Shall we not much more readily be in subjection to the Father of spirits and live? 10. For they indeed for a few days chastened us as seemed best to them, but He for our profit, that we may be partakers of His holiness. 11. Now no chastening seems to be joyful for the present, but painful; nevertheless, afterward it yields the peaceable fruit of righteousness to those who have been trained by it. 12. Therefore strengthen the hands which hang down, and the feeble knees, 13. and make straight paths for your feet, so that what is lame may not be dislocated, but rather be healed. 14. Pursue peace with all people, and holiness, without which no one will see the Lord: 15. looking carefully lest anyone fall short of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up cause trouble, and by this many become defiled;

But the end of all things is at hand; therefore be serious and watchful in your prayers. 8. And above all things have fervent love for one another, for “love will cover a multitude of sins.” 9. Be hospitable to one another without grumbling. 10. As each one has received a gift, minister it to one another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God. 11. If anyone speaks, let him speak as the oracles of God. If anyone ministers, let him do it as with the ability which God supplies, that in all things God may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom belong the glory and the dominion forever and ever. And many lepers were in Israel in the time of Elisha the prophet, and none of them was cleansed except Naaman the Syrian.” 28. So all those in the synagogue, when they heard these things, were filled with wrath, 29. and rose up and thrust Him out of the city; and they led Him to the brow of the hill on which their city was built, that they might throw Him down over the cliff. 30. And do not be called teachers; for One is your Teacher, the Christ. 11. But he who is greatest among you shall be your servant. 12. Praise the Lord, O my soul. I shall praise the Lord while I live; I shall sing to my God as long as I exist.
ወንጌል Gospel
Lk 1 : 39 - 56 [ትግርኛ][ግእዝ][ልሙድ]39. Now Mary arose in those days and went into the hill country with haste, to a city of Judah, 40. and entered the house of Zacharias and greeted Elizabeth. 41. And it happened, when Elizabeth heard the greeting of Mary, that the babe leaped in her womb; and Elizabeth was filled with the Holy Spirit. 42. Then she spoke out with a loud voice and said, “Blessed are you among women, and blessed is the fruit of your womb! 43. But why is this granted to me, that the mother of my Lord should come to me? 44. For indeed, as soon as the voice of your greeting sounded in my ears, the babe leaped in my womb for joy. 45. Blessed is she who believed, for there will be a fulfillment of those things which were told her from the Lord.” 46. And Mary said: “My soul magnifies the Lord, 47. And my spirit has rejoiced in God my Savior. 48. For He has regarded the lowly state of His maidservant; For behold, henceforth all generations will call me blessed. 49. For He who is mighty has done great things for me, And holy is His name. 50. And His mercy is on those who fear Him From generation to generation. 51. He has shown strength with His arm; He has scattered the proud in the imagination of their hearts. 52. He has put down the mighty from their thrones, And exalted the lowly. 53. He has filled the hungry with good things, And the rich He has sent away empty. 54. He has helped His servant Israel, In remembrance of His mercy, 55. As He spoke to our fathers, To Abraham and to his seed forever.” 56. And Mary remained with her about three months, and returned to her house. Col 4 : 12 - end [ትግርኛ][ግእዝ][ልሙድ]12. Epaphras, who is one of you, a bondservant of Christ, greets you, always laboring fervently for you in prayers, that you may stand perfect and complete in all the will of God. 13. For I bear him witness that he has a great zeala for you, and those who are in Laodicea, and those in Hierapolis. 14. Luke the beloved physician and Demas greet you. 15. Greet the brethren who are in Laodicea, and Nymphas and the church that is in his house. 16. Now when this epistle is read among you, see that it is read also in the church of the Laodiceans, and that you likewise read the epistle from Laodicea. 17. And say to Archippus, “Take heed to the ministry which you have received in the Lord, that you may fulfill it.” 18. This salutation by my own hand—Paul. Remember my chains. Grace be with you. Amen.

2Jn 1 : 1 - 6 [ትግርኛ][ግእዝ][ልሙድ]1. The Elder, To the elect lady and her children, whom I love in truth, and not only I, but also all those who have known the truth, 2. because of the truth which abides in us and will be with us forever: 3. Grace, mercy, and peace will be with you from God the Father and from the Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of the Father, in truth and love. 4. I rejoiced greatly that I have found some of your children walking in truth, as we received commandment from the Father. 5. And now I plead with you, lady, not as though I wrote a new commandment to you, but that which we have had from the beginning: that we love one another. 6. This is love, that we walk according to His commandments. This is the commandment, that as you have heard from the beginning, you should walk in it.

For these are not drunk, as you suppose, since it is only the third hour of the day. 16. But this is what was spoken by the prophet Joel: 17. ‘ And it shall come to pass in the last days, says God, That I will pour out of My Spirit on all flesh; Your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, Your young men shall see visions, Your old men shall dream dreams. 18. And on My menservants and on My maidservants I will pour out My Spirit in those days; And they shall prophesy. 19. I will show wonders in heaven above And signs in the earth beneath: Blood and fire and vapor of smoke. 20. The sun shall be turned into darkness, And the moon into blood, Before the coming of the great and awesome day of the LORD. 21. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. 11. For the Scripture says, “Whoever believes on Him will not be put to shame.” 12. For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek, for the same Lord over all is rich to all who call upon Him. 13. For “whoever calls on the name of the LORD shall be saved.” 14. How then shall they call on Him in whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in Him of whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without a preacher? 15. And how shall they preach unless they are sent? As it is written: “How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the gospel of peace, Who bring glad tidings of good things!” 16. But they have not all obeyed the gospel. For Isaiah says, “LORD, who has believed our report?”

This is the message which we have heard from Him and declare to you, that God is light and in Him is no darkness at all. 6. If we say that we have fellowship with Him, and walk in darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth. 7. But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin. 8. If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. 9. If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 10. If we say that we have not sinned, we make Him a liar, and His word is not in us.

Therefore, when Paul and Barnabas had no small dissension and dispute with them, they determined that Paul and Barnabas and certain others of them should go up to Jerusalem, to the apostles and elders, about this question. 3. So, being sent on their way by the church, they passed through Phoenicia and Samaria, describing the conversion of the Gentiles; and they caused great joy to all the brethren. 4. And when they had come to Jerusalem, they were received by the church and the apostles and the elders; and they reported all things that God had done with them. 5. But some of the sect of the Pharisees who believed rose up, saying, “It is necessary to circumcise them, and to command them to keep the law of Moses.” 6. Now the apostles and elders came together to consider this matter. 7. And when there had been much dispute, Peter rose up and said to them: “Men and brethren, you know that a good while ago God chose among us, that by my mouth the Gentiles should hear the word of the gospel and believe. 8. So God, who knows the heart, acknowledged them by giving them the Holy Spirit, just as He did to us, 9. and made no distinction between us and them, purifying their hearts by faith.

Forgive, and you will be forgiven. 38. Give, and it will be given to you: good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over will be put into your bosom. For with the same measure that you use, it will be measured back to you.” 39. And He spoke a parable to them: “Can the blind lead the blind? Will they not both fall into the ditch? 40. A disciple is not above his teacher, but everyone who is perfectly trained will be like his teacher. 41. And why do you look at the speck in your brother's eye, but do not perceive the plank in your own eye? 42. Or how can you say to your brother, ‘Brother, let me remove the speck that is in your eye, ’ when you yourself do not see the plank that is in your own eye? Hypocrite! And when the flood arose, the stream beat vehemently against that house, and could not shake it, for it was founded on the rock. 49. But he who heard and did nothing is like a man who built a house on the earth without a foundation, against which the stream beat vehemently; and immediately it fell. And forgive us our sins, For we also forgive everyone who is indebted to us. And do not lead us into temptation, But deliver us from the evil one.” 5. And He said to them, “Which of you shall have a friend, and go to him at midnight and say to him, ‘Friend, lend me three loaves; 6. for a friend of mine has come to me on his journey, and I have nothing to set before him’; 7. and he will answer from within and say, ‘Do not trouble me; the door is now shut, and my children are with me in bed; I cannot rise and give to you’? 8. Heb 4 : 1 - 11 [ትግርኛ][ግእዝ][ልሙድ]1. Therefore, since a promise remains of entering His rest, let us fear lest any of you seem to have come short of it. 2. For indeed the gospel was preached to us as well as to them; but the word which they heard did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in those who heard it. 3. For we who have believed do enter that rest, as He has said: “So I swore in My wrath, ‘They shall not enter My rest,’” although the works were finished from the foundation of the world. 4. For He has spoken in a certain place of the seventh day in this way: “And God rested on the seventh day from all His works”; a 5. and again in this place: “They shall not enter My rest.” 6. Since therefore it remains that some must enter it, and those to whom it was first preached did not enter because of disobedience, 7. again He designates a certain day, saying in David, “Today,” after such a long time, as it has been said: “Today, if you will hear His voice, Do not harden your hearts.” 8. For if Joshua had given them rest, then He would not afterward have spoken of another day. 9. There remains therefore a rest for the people of God. 10. For he who has entered His rest has himself also ceased from his works as God did from His. 11. Let us therefore be diligent to enter that rest, lest anyone fall according to the same example of disobedience.

Js 2 : 5 - 14 [ትግርኛ][ግእዝ][ልሙድ]5. Listen, my beloved brethren: Has God not chosen the poor of this world to be rich in faith and heirs of the kingdom which He promised to those who love Him? 6. But you have dishonored the poor man. Do not the rich oppress you and drag you into the courts? 7. Do they not blaspheme that noble name by which you are called? 8. If you really fulfill the royal law according to the Scripture, “You shall love your neighbor as yourself,” you do well; 9. but if you show partiality, you commit sin, and are convicted by the law as transgressors. 10. For whoever shall keep the whole law, and yet stumble in one point, he is guilty of all. 11. For He who said, “Do not commit adultery,” also said, “Do not murder.” Now if you do not commit adultery, but you do murder, you have become a transgressor of the law. 12. So speak and so do as those who will be judged by the law of liberty. 13. For judgment is without mercy to the one who has shown no mercy. Mercy triumphs over judgment. 14. What does it profit, my brethren, if someone says he has faith but does not have works? Can faith save him?

Now the multitude of those who believed were of one heart and one soul; neither did anyone say that any of the things he possessed was his own, but they had all things in common. 33. And with great power the apostles gave witness to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus. And great grace was upon them all. 34. Nor was there anyone among them who lacked; for all who were possessors of lands or houses sold them, and brought the proceeds of the things that were sold, 35. and laid them at the apostles’ feet; and they distributed to each as anyone had need. 36. And Joses, who was also named Barnabas by the apostles (which is translated Son of Encouragement), a Levite of the country of Cyprus, 37. having land, sold it, and brought the money and laid it at the apostles’ feet.

ወንጌል Gospel
Jn 4 : 34 - 42 [ትግርኛ][ግእዝ][ልሙድ]34. Jesus said to them, “My food is to do the will of Him who sent Me, and to finish His work. 35. Do you not say, ‘There are still four months and then comes the harvest’? Behold, I say to you, lift up your eyes and look at the fields, for they are already white for harvest! 36. And he who reaps receives wages, and gathers fruit for eternal life, that both he who sows and he who reaps may rejoice together. 37. For in this the saying is true: ‘One sows and another reaps. ’ 38. I sent you to reap that for which you have not labored; others have labored, and you have entered into their labors.” 39. And many of the Samaritans of that city believed in Him because of the word of the woman who testified, “He told me all that I ever did.” 40. So when the Samaritans had come to Him, they urged Him to stay with them; and He stayed there two days. 41. And many more believed because of His own word. 42. Then they said to the woman, “Now we believe, not because of what you said, for we ourselves have heard Him and we know that this is indeed the Christ, the Savior of the world.” Whoever believes in the SON, have eternal life.
