Ps 19 : 8 - 9 [ትግርኛ][ግእዝ][ልሙድ]The commandment of the Lord is bright, enlightening the eyes; The fear of the Lord is pure, enduring unto ages of ages; The judgments of the Lord are true, being altogether just.

Lk 12 : 25 - 31 [ትግርኛ][ግእዝ][ልሙድ]25. And which of you by worrying can add one cubit to his stature? 26. If you then are not able to do the least, why are you anxious for the rest? 27. Consider the lilies, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin; and yet I say to you, even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. 28. If then God so clothes the grass, which today is in the field and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, how much more will He clothe you, O you of little faith? 29. “And do not seek what you should eat or what you should drink, nor have an anxious mind. 30. For all these things the nations of the world seek after, and your Father knows that you need these things. 31. But seek the kingdom of God, and all these things shall be added to you. ‘It is easier for heaven and earth to pass away than for one tittle of the law to fail,’ says the Lord to his desciples.

መልእክተ ጳውሎስ Pauline Epistle
Heb 12 : 1 - 11 [ትግርኛ][ግእዝ][ልሙድ]1. Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, 2. looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. 3. For consider Him who endured such hostility from sinners against Himself, lest you become weary and discouraged in your souls. 4. You have not yet resisted to bloodshed, striving against sin. 5. And you have forgotten the exhortation which speaks to you as to sons: “My son, do not despise the chastening of the LORD, Nor be discouraged when you are rebuked by Him; 6. For whom the LORD loves He chastens, And scourges every son whom He receives.” 7. If you endure chastening, God deals with you as with sons; for what son is there whom a father does not chasten? 8. But if you are without chastening, of which all have become partakers, then you are illegitimate and not sons. 9. Furthermore, we have had human fathers who corrected us, and we paid them respect. Shall we not much more readily be in subjection to the Father of spirits and live? 10. For they indeed for a few days chastened us as seemed best to them, but He for our profit, that we may be partakers of His holiness. 11. Now no chastening seems to be joyful for the present, but painful; nevertheless, afterward it yields the peaceable fruit of righteousness to those who have been trained by it.

1Pet 2 : 20 - end [ትግርኛ][ግእዝ][ልሙድ]20. For what credit is it if, when you are beaten for your faults, you take it patiently? But when you do good and suffer, if you take it patiently, this is commendable before God. 21. For to this you were called, because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that you should follow His steps: 22. “Who committed no sin, Nor was deceit found in His mouth”; 23. who, when He was reviled, did not revile in return; when He suffered, He did not threaten, but committed Himself to Him who judges righteously; 24. who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness—by whose stripes you were healed. 25. For you were like sheep going astray, but have now returned to the Shepherd and Overseer of your souls.
ግብረ ሃዋርያት Acts
Acts 10 : 1 - 9 [ትግርኛ][ግእዝ][ልሙድ]1. There was a certain man in Caesarea called Cornelius, a centurion of what was called the Italian Regiment, 2. a devout man and one who feared God with all his household, who gave alms generously to the people, and prayed to God always. 3. About the ninth hour of the day he saw clearly in a vision an angel of God coming in and saying to him, “Cornelius!” 4. And when he observed him, he was afraid, and said, “What is it, lord?” So he said to him, “Your prayers and your alms have come up for a memorial before God. 5. Now send men to Joppa, and send for Simon whose surname is Peter. 6. He is lodging with Simon, a tanner, whose house is by the sea. He will tell you what you must do.” 7. And when the angel who spoke to him had departed, Cornelius called two of his household servants and a devout soldier from among those who waited on him continually. 8. So when he had explained all these things to them, he sent them to Joppa. 9. The next day, as they went on their journey and drew near the city, Peter went up on the housetop to pray, about the sixth hour.

Lk 1 : 1 - 19 [ትግርኛ][ግእዝ][ልሙድ]1. In as much as many have taken in hand to set in order a narrative of those things which have been fulfilled among us, 2. just as those who from the beginning were eyewitnesses and ministers of the word delivered them to us, 3. it seemed good to me also, having had perfect understanding of all things from the very first, to write to you an orderly account, most excellent Theophilus, 4. that you may know the certainty of those things in which you were instructed. 5. There was in the days of Herod, the king of Judea, a certain priest named Zacharias, of the division of Abijah. His wife was of the daughters of Aaron, and her name was Elizabeth. 6. And they were both righteous before God, walking in all the commandments and ordinances of the Lord blameless. 7. But they had no child, because Elizabeth was barren, and they were both well advanced in years. 8. So it was, that while he was serving as priest before God in the order of his division, 9. according to the custom of the priesthood, his lot fell to burn incense when he went into the temple of the Lord. 10. And the whole multitude of the people was praying outside at the hour of incense. 11. Then an angel of the Lord appeared to him, standing on the right side of the altar of incense. 12. And when Zacharias saw him, he was troubled, and fear fell upon him. 13. But the angel said to him, “Do not be afraid, Zacharias, for your prayer is heard; and your wife Elizabeth will bear you a son, and you shall call his name John. 14. And you will have joy and gladness, and many will rejoice at his birth. 15. For he will be great in the sight of the Lord, and shall drink neither wine nor strong drink. He will also be filled with the Holy Spirit, even from his mother's womb. 16. And he will turn many of the children of Israel to the Lord their God. 17. He will also go before Him in the spirit and power of Elijah, ‘to turn the hearts of the fathers to the children, ’a and the disobedient to the wisdom of the just, to make ready a people prepared for the Lord.” 18. And Zacharias said to the angel, “How shall I know this? For I am an old man, and my wife is well advanced in years.” 19. And the angel answered and said to him, “ I am Gabriel, who stands in the presence of God, and was sent to speak to you and bring you these glad tidings. ‘It is easier for heaven and earth to pass away than for one tittle of the law to fail,’ says the Lord to his desciples.

Lk 12 : 16 - 21 [ትግርኛ][ግእዝ][ልሙድ]16. Then He spoke a parable to them, saying: “The ground of a certain rich man yielded plentifully. 17. And he thought within himself, saying, ‘What shall I do, since I have no room to store my crops? ’ 18. So he said, ‘ I will do this: I will pull down my barns and build greater, and there I will store all my crops and my goods. 19. And I will say to my soul, “Soul, you have many goods laid up for many years; take your ease; eat, drink, and be merry.” ’ 20. But God said to him, ‘Fool! This night your soul will be required of you; then whose will those things be which you have provided? ’ 21. “So is he who lays up treasure for himself, and is not rich toward God.” ‘It is easier for heaven and earth to pass away than for one tittle of the law to fail,’ says the Lord to his desciples.

ወንጌል Gospel
Lk 20 : 9 - 19 [ትግርኛ][ግእዝ][ልሙድ]9. Then He began to tell the people this parable: “A certain man planted a vineyard, leased it to vinedressers, and went into a far country for a long time. 10. Now at vintage - time he sent a servant to the vinedressers, that they might give him some of the fruit of the vineyard. But the vinedressers beat him and sent him away empty - handed. 11. Again he sent another servant; and they beat him also, treated him shamefully, and sent him away empty - handed. 12. And again he sent a third; and they wounded him also and cast him out. 13. “Then the owner of the vineyard said, ‘What shall I do? I will send my beloved son. Probably they will respect him when they see him. ’ 14. But when the vinedressers saw him, they reasoned among themselves, saying, ‘This is the heir. Come, let us kill him, that the inheritance may be ours. ’ 15. So they cast him out of the vineyard and killed him. Therefore what will the owner of the vineyard do to them? 16. He will come and destroy those vinedressers and give the vineyard to others.” And when they heard it they said, “Certainly not!” 17. Then He looked at them and said, “What then is this that is written: ‘ The stone which the builders rejected Has become the chief cornerstone’? 18. Whoever falls on that stone will be broken; but on whomever it falls, it will grind him to powder.” 19. And the chief priests and the scribes that very hour sought to lay hands on Him, but they feared the people —for they knew He had spoken this parable against them. ‘It is easier for heaven and earth to pass away than for one tittle of the law to fail,’ says the Lord to his desciples.

መልእክተ ጳውሎስ Pauline Epistle
Rom 5 : 6 - 11 [ትግርኛ][ግእዝ][ልሙድ]6. For when we were still without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly. 7. For scarcely for a righteous man will one die; yet perhaps for a good man someone would even dare to die. 8. But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. 9. Much more then, having now been justified by His blood, we shall be saved from wrath through Him. 10. For if when we were enemies we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, much more, having been reconciled, we shall be saved by His life. 11. And not only that, but we also rejoice in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received the reconciliation.

Js 2 : 5 - 13 [ትግርኛ][ግእዝ][ልሙድ]5. Listen, my beloved brethren: Has God not chosen the poor of this world to be rich in faith and heirs of the kingdom which He promised to those who love Him? 6. But you have dishonored the poor man. Do not the rich oppress you and drag you into the courts? 7. Do they not blaspheme that noble name by which you are called? 8. If you really fulfill the royal law according to the Scripture, “You shall love your neighbor as yourself,” you do well; 9. but if you show partiality, you commit sin, and are convicted by the law as transgressors. 10. For whoever shall keep the whole law, and yet stumble in one point, he is guilty of all. 11. For He who said, “Do not commit adultery,” also said, “Do not murder.” Now if you do not commit adultery, but you do murder, you have become a transgressor of the law. 12. So speak and so do as those who will be judged by the law of liberty. 13. For judgment is without mercy to the one who has shown no mercy. Mercy triumphs over judgment.

Acts 17 : 1 - 10 [ትግርኛ][ግእዝ][ልሙድ]1. Now when they had passed through Amphipolis and Apollonia, they came to Thessalonica, where there was a synagogue of the Jews. 2. Then Paul, as his custom was, went in to them, and for three Sabbaths reasoned with them from the Scriptures, 3. explaining and demonstrating that the Christ had to suffer and rise again from the dead, and saying, “This Jesus whom I preach to you is the Christ.” 4. And some of them were persuaded; and a great multitude of the devout Greeks, and not a few of the leading women, joined Paul and Silas. 5. But the Jews who were not persuaded, becoming envious, took some of the evil men from the marketplace, and gathering a mob, set all the city in an uproar and attacked the house of Jason, and sought to bring them out to the people. 6. But when they did not find them, they dragged Jason and some brethren to the rulers of the city, crying out, “These who have turned the world upside down have come here too. 7. Jason has harbored them, and these are all acting contrary to the decrees of Caesar, saying there is another king—Jesus.” 8. And they troubled the crowd and the rulers of the city when they heard these things. 9. So when they had taken security from Jason and the rest, they let them go. The Church in Berea 10. Then the brethren immediately sent Paul and Silas away by night to Berea. When they arrived, they went into the synagogue of the Jews.

Jn 12 : 23 - 35 [ትግርኛ][ግእዝ][ልሙድ]23. But Jesus answered them, saying, “The hour has come that the Son of Man should be glorified. 24. Most assuredly, I say to you, unless a grain of wheat falls into the ground and dies, it remains alone; but if it dies, it produces much grain. 25. He who loves his life will lose it, and he who hates his life in this world will keep it for eternal life. 26. If anyone serves Me, let him follow Me; and where I am, there My servant will be also. If anyone serves Me, him My Father will honor. 27. “Now My soul is troubled, and what shall I say? ‘Father, save Me from this hour’? But for this purpose I came to this hour. 28. Father, glorify Your name.” Then a voice came from heaven, saying, “ I have both glorified it and will glorify it again.” 29. Therefore the people who stood by and heard it said that it had thundered. Others said, “An angel has spoken to Him.” 30. Jesus answered and said, “This voice did not come because of Me, but for your sake. 31. Now is the judgment of this world; now the ruler of this world will be cast out. 32. And I, if I am lifted up from the earth, will draw all peoples to Myself.” 33. This He said, signifying by what death He would die. 34. The people answered Him, “We have heard from the law that the Christ remains forever; and how can You say, ‘ The Son of Man must be lifted up’? Who is this Son of Man?” 35. Then Jesus said to them, “A little while longer the light is with you. Walk while you have the light, lest darkness overtake you; he who walks in darkness does not know where he is going. መልእክተ ጳውሎስ Pauline Epistle
Heb 11 : 8 - 16 [ትግርኛ][ግእዝ][ልሙድ]8. By faith Abraham obeyed when he was called to go out to the place which he would receive as an inheritance. And he went out, not knowing where he was going. 9. By faith he dwelt in the land of promise as in a foreign country, dwelling in tents with Isaac and Jacob, the heirs with him of the same promise; 10. for he waited for the city which has foundations, whose builder and maker is God. 11. By faith Sarah herself also received strength to conceive seed, and she bore a child when she was past the age, because she judged Him faithful who had promised. 12. Therefore from one man, and him as good as dead, were born as many as the stars of the sky in multitude—innumerable as the sand which is by the seashore. 13. These all died in faith, not having received the promises, but having seen them afar off were assured of them, embraced them and confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth. 14. For those who say such things declare plainly that they seek a homeland. 15. And truly if they had called to mind that country from which they had come out, they would have had opportunity to return. 16. But now they desire a better, that is, a heavenly country. Therefore God is not ashamed to be called their God, for He has prepared a city for them.
ዘካልእ መልእክት Universal Epistle
Js 4 : 10 - end [ትግርኛ][ግእዝ][ልሙድ]10. Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and He will lift you up. 11. Do not speak evil of one another, brethren. He who speaks evil of a brother and judges his brother, speaks evil of the law and judges the law. But if you judge the law, you are not a doer of the law but a judge. 12. There is one Lawgiver, who is able to save and to destroy. Who are you to judge another? 13. Come now, you who say, “Today or tomorrow we will go to such and such a city, spend a year there, buy and sell, and make a profit”; 14. whereas you do not know what will happen tomorrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapor that appears for a little time and then vanishes away. 15. Instead you ought to say, “If the Lord wills, we shall live and do this or that.” 16. But now you boast in your arrogance. All such boasting is evil. 17. Therefore, to him who knows to do good and does not do it, to him it is sin.

Acts 12 : 12 - 19 [ትግርኛ][ግእዝ][ልሙድ]12. So, when he had considered this, he came to the house of Mary, the mother of John whose surname was Mark, where many were gathered together praying. 13. And as Peter knocked at the door of the gate, a girl named Rhoda came to answer. 14. When she recognized Peter's voice, because of her gladness she did not open the gate, but ran in and announced that Peter stood before the gate. 15. But they said to her, “You are beside yourself!” Yet she kept insisting that it was so. So they said, “It is his angel.” 16. Now Peter continued knocking; and when they opened the door and saw him, they were astonished. 17. But motioning to them with his hand to keep silent, he declared to them how the Lord had brought him out of the prison. And he said, “Go, tell these things to James and to the brethren.” And he departed and went to another place. 18. Then, as soon as it was day, there was no small stir among the soldiers about what had become of Peter. 19. But when Herod had searched for him and not found him, he examined the guards and commanded that they should be put to death. And he went down from Judea to Caesarea, and stayed there.

Jn 8 : 1 - 11 [ትግርኛ][ግእዝ][ልሙድ]1. But Jesus went to the Mount of Olives. 2. Now early in the morning He came again into the temple, and all the people came to Him; and He sat down and taught them. 3. Then the scribes and Pharisees brought to Him a woman caught in adultery. And when they had set her in the midst, 4. they said to Him, “Teacher, this woman was caught in adultery, in the very act. 5. Now Moses, in the law, commanded us that such should be stoned. But what do You say?” 6. This they said, testing Him, that they might have something of which to accuse Him. But Jesus stooped down and wrote on the ground with His finger, as though He did not hear. 7. So when they continued asking Him, He raised Himself up and said to them, “He who is without sin among you, let him throw a stone at her first.” 8. And again He stooped down and wrote on the ground. 9. Then those who heard it, being convicted by their conscience, went out one by one, beginning with the oldest even to the last. And Jesus was left alone, and the woman standing in the midst. 10. When Jesus had raised Himself up and saw no one but the woman, He said to her, “Woman, where are those accusers of yours? Has no one condemned you?” 11. She said, “No one, Lord.” And Jesus said to her, “Neither do I condemn you; go and sin no more.” Whoever believes in the SON, have eternal life.

I had no rest in my spirit, because I did not find Titus my brother; but taking my leave of them, I departed for Macedonia. 14. Now thanks be to God who always leads us in triumph in Christ, and through us diffuses the fragrance of His knowledge in every place. 15. For we are to God the fragrance of Christ among those who are being saved and among those who are perishing. 16. To the one we are the aroma of death leading to death, and to the other the aroma of life leading to life. And who is sufficient for these things? 17. For we are not, as so many, peddling the word of God; but as of sincerity, but as from God, we speak in the sight of God in Christ.
ዘካልእ መልእክት Universal Epistle
1Jn 2 : 18 - 25 [ትግርኛ][ግእዝ][ልሙድ]18. Little children, it is the last hour; and as you have heard that the Antichrist is coming, even now many antichrists have come, by which we know that it is the last hour. 19. They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would have continued with us; but they went out that they might be made manifest, that none of them were of us. 20. But you have an anointing from the Holy One, and you know all things. 21. I have not written to you because you do not know the truth, but because you know it, and that no lie is of the truth. 22. Who is a liar but he who denies that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist who denies the Father and the Son. 23. Whoever denies the Son does not have the Father either; he who acknowledges the Son has the Father also. 24. Therefore let that abide in you which you heard from the beginning. If what you heard from the beginning abides in you, you also will abide in the Son and in the Father. 25. And this is the promise that He has promised us—eternal life.

Acts 3 : 1 - 12 [ትግርኛ][ግእዝ][ልሙድ]1. Now Peter and John went up together to the temple at the hour of prayer, the ninth hour. 2. And a certain man lame from his mother's womb was carried, whom they laid daily at the gate of the temple which is called Beautiful, to ask alms from those who entered the temple; 3. who, seeing Peter and John about to go into the temple, asked for alms. 4. And fixing his eyes on him, with John, Peter said, “Look at us.” 5. So he gave them his attention, expecting to receive something from them. 6. Then Peter said, “Silver and gold I do not have, but what I do have I give you: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, rise up and walk.” 7. And he took him by the right hand and lifted him up, and immediately his feet and ankle bones received strength. 8. So he, leaping up, stood and walked and entered the temple with them—walking, leaping, and praising God. 9. And all the people saw him walking and praising God. 10. Then they knew that it was he who sat begging alms at the Beautiful Gate of the temple; and they were filled with wonder and amazement at what had happened to him. 11. Now as the lame man who was healed held on to Peter and John, all the people ran together to them in the porch which is called Solomon's, greatly amazed. 12. So when Peter saw it, he responded to the people: “Men of Israel, why do you marvel at this? Or why look so intently at us, as though by our own power or godliness we had made this man walk?

So he said, ‘ I will do this: I will pull down my barns and build greater, and there I will store all my crops and my goods. 19. And I will say to my soul, “Soul, you have many goods laid up for many years; take your ease; eat, drink, and be merry.” ’ 20. But God said to him, ‘Fool! Gal 2 : 9 - 16 [ትግርኛ][ግእዝ][ልሙድ]9. and when James, Cephas, and John, who seemed to be pillars, perceived the grace that had been given to me, they gave me and Barnabas the right hand of fellowship, that we should go to the Gentiles and they to the circumcised . 10. They desired only that we should remember the poor, the very thing which I also was eager to do. 11. Now when Peter had come to Antioch, I withstood him to his face, because he was to be blamed; 12. for before certain men came from James, he would eat with the Gentiles; but when they came, he withdrew and separated himself, fearing those who were of the circumcision. 13. And the rest of the Jews also played the hypocrite with him, so that even Barnabas was carried away with their hypocrisy. 14. But when I saw that they were not straightforward about the truth of the gospel, I said to Peter before them all, “If you, being a Jew, live in the manner of Gentiles and not as the Jews, why do you compel Gentiles to live as Jews? 15. We who are Jews by nature, and not sinners of the Gentiles, 16. knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law but by faith in Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Christ Jesus, that we might be justified by faith in Christ and not by the works of the law; for by the works of the law no flesh shall be justified.

This is the ‘stone which was rejected by you builders, which has become the chief cornerstone. ’ 12. Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.” 13. Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were uneducated and untrained men, they marveled. And they realized that they had been with Jesus. 14. And seeing the man who had been healed standing with them, they could say nothing against it. 15. But when they had commanded them to go aside out of the council, they conferred among themselves, 16. saying, “What shall we do to these men? For, indeed, that a notable miracle has been done through them is evident to all who dwell in Jerusalem, and we cannot deny it. 17. But so that it spreads no further among the people, let us severely threaten them, that from now on they speak to no man in this name.” 18. Eph 5 : 1 - 12 [ትግርኛ][ግእዝ][ልሙድ]1. Therefore be imitators of God as dear children. 2. And walk in love, as Christ also has loved us and given Himself for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet - smelling aroma. 3. But fornication and all uncleanness or covetousness, let it not even be named among you, as is fitting for saints; 4. neither filthiness, nor foolish talking, nor coarse jesting, which are not fitting, but rather giving of thanks. 5. For this you know, that no fornicator, unclean person, nor covetous man, who is an idolater, has any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and God. 6. Let no one deceive you with empty words, for because of these things the wrath of God comes upon the sons of disobedience. 7. Therefore do not be partakers with them. 8. For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light 9. (for the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness, righteousness, and truth), 10. finding out what is acceptable to the Lord. 11. And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather expose them. 12. For it is shameful even to speak of those things which are done by them in secret.

The old commandment is the word which you heard from the beginning. 8. Again, a new commandment I write to you, which thing is true in Him and in you, because the darkness is passing away, and the true light is already shining. 9. He who says he is in the light, and hates his brother, is in darkness until now. 10. He who loves his brother abides in the light, and there is no cause for stumbling in him. 11. Therefore many of them believed, and also not a few of the Greeks, prominent women as well as men. 13. But when the Jews from Thessalonica learned that the word of God was preached by Paul at Berea, they came there also and stirred up the crowds. 14. Then immediately the brethren sent Paul away, to go to the sea; but both Silas and Timothy remained there. 15. And he leased it to vinedressers and went into a far country. 2. Now at vintage - time he sent a servant to the vinedressers, that he might receive some of the fruit of the vineyard from the vinedressers. 3. And they took him and beat him and sent him away empty - handed. 4. Again he sent them another servant, and at him they threw stones, a wounded him in the head, and sent him away shamefully treated. 5. And again he sent another, and him they killed; and many others, beating some and killing some. 6. Therefore still having one son, his beloved, he also sent him to them last, saying, ‘They will respect my son. ’ 7. But those vinedressers said among themselves, ‘This is the heir. Come, let us kill him, and the inheritance will be ours. ’ 8. So they took him and killed him and cast him out of the vineyard. 9. “Therefore what will the owner of the vineyard do? He will come and destroy the vinedressers, and give the vineyard to others. 10. Have you not even read this Scripture: ‘ The stone which the builders rejected Has become the chief cornerstone. 11. This was the Lord's doing, And it is marvelous in our eyes’?” 12. And they sought to lay hands on Him, but feared the multitude, for they knew He had spoken the parable against them. For where there are envy, strife, and divisions among you, are you not carnal and behaving like mere men? 4. Who then is Paul, and who is Apollos, but ministers through whom you believed, as the Lord gave to each one? 6. I planted, Apollos watered, but God gave the increase. 7. መልእክተ ጳውሎስ Pauline Epistle
1Cor 9 : 1 - 12 [ትግርኛ][ግእዝ][ልሙድ]1. Am I not an apostle? Am I not free? Have I not seen Jesus Christ our Lord? Are you not my work in the Lord? 2. If I am not an apostle to others, yet doubtless I am to you. For you are the seal of my apostleship in the Lord. 3. My defense to those who examine me is this: 4. Do we have no right to eat and drink? 5. Do we have no right to take along a believing wife, as do also the other apostles, the brothers of the Lord, and Cephas? 6. Or is it only Barnabas and I who have no right to refrain from working? 7. Who ever goes to war at his own expense? Who plants a vineyard and does not eat of its fruit? Or who tends a flock and does not drink of the milk of the flock? 8. Do I say these things as a mere man? Or does not the law say the same also? 9. For it is written in the law of Moses, “You shall not muzzle an ox while it treads out the grain.” Is it oxen God is concerned about? 10. Or does He say it altogether for our sakes? For our sakes, no doubt, this is written, that he who plows should plow in hope, and he who threshes in hope should be partaker of his hope. 11. If we have sown spiritual things for you, is it a great thing if we reap your material things? 12. If others are partakers of this right over you, are we not even more? Nevertheless we have not used this right, but endure all things lest we hinder the gospel of Christ.
ዘካልእ መልእክት Universal Epistle
1Pet 3 : 1 - 9 [ትግርኛ][ግእዝ][ልሙድ]1. Wives, likewise, be submissive to your own husbands, that even if some do not obey the word, they, without a word, may be won by the conduct of their wives, 2. when they observe your chaste conduct accompanied by fear. 3. Do not let your adornment be merely outward—arranging the hair, wearing gold, or putting on fine apparel— 4. rather let it be the hidden person of the heart, with the incorruptible beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is very precious in the sight of God. 5. For in this manner, in former times, the holy women who trusted in God also adorned themselves, being submissive to their own husbands, 6. as Sarah obeyed Abraham, calling him lord, whose daughters you are if you do good and are not afraid with any terror. 7. Husbands, likewise, dwell with them with understanding, giving honor to the wife, as to the weaker vessel, and as being heirs together of the grace of life, that your prayers may not be hindered. 8. Finally, all of you be of one mind, having compassion for one another; love as brothers, be tenderhearted, be courteous; 9. not returning evil for evil or reviling for reviling, but on the contrary blessing, knowing that you were called to this, that you may inherit a blessing.
ግብረ ሃዋርያት Acts
Acts 21 : 31 - end [ትግርኛ][ግእዝ][ልሙድ]31. Now as they were seeking to kill him, news came to the commander of the garrison that all Jerusalem was in an uproar. 32. He immediately took soldiers and centurions, and ran down to them. And when they saw the commander and the soldiers, they stopped beating Paul. 33. Then the commander came near and took him, and commanded him to be bound with two chains; and he asked who he was and what he had done. 34. And some among the multitude cried one thing and some another. So when he could not ascertain the truth because of the tumult, he commanded him to be taken into the barracks. 35. When he reached the stairs, he had to be carried by the soldiers because of the violence of the mob. 36. For the multitude of the people followed after, crying out, “Away with him!” 37. Then as Paul was about to be led into the barracks, he said to the commander, “May I speak to you?” He replied, “Can you speak Greek? 38. Are you not the Egyptian who some time ago stirred up a rebellion and led the four thousand assassins out into the wilderness?” 39. But Paul said, “ I am a Jew from Tarsus, in Cilicia, a citizen of no mean city; and I implore you, permit me to speak to the people.” 40. So when he had given him permission, Paul stood on the stairs and motioned with his hand to the people. And when there was a great silence, he spoke to them in the Hebrew language, saying,
መዝሙር Psalm
Ps 128 : 2 - 3 [ትግርኛ][ግእዝ][ልሙድ]Blessed are all who fear the Lord, Who walk in His ways. You shall eat the fruits of your labor; You are blessed, and it shall be well with you. Your wife shall be like a vine, prospering on the sides of your house.
ወንጌል Gospel
Jn 3 : 25 - end [ትግርኛ][ግእዝ][ልሙድ]25. Then there arose a dispute between some of John's disciples and the Jews about purification. 26. And they came to John and said to him, “Rabbi, He who was with you beyond the Jordan, to whom you have testified—behold, He is baptizing, and all are coming to Him!” 27. John answered and said, “A man can receive nothing unless it has been given to him from heaven. 28. You yourselves bear me witness, that I said, ‘ I am not the Christ, ’ but, ‘ I have been sent before Him. ’ 29. He who has the bride is the bridegroom; but the friend of the bridegroom, who stands and hears him, rejoices greatly because of the bridegroom's voice. Therefore this joy of mine is fulfilled. 30. He must increase, but I must decrease. 31. He who comes from above is above all; he who is of the earth is earthly and speaks of the earth. He who comes from heaven is above all. 32. And what He has seen and heard, that He testifies; and no one receives His testimony. 33. He who has received His testimony has certified that God is true. 34. For He whom God has sent speaks the words of God, for God does not give the Spirit by measure. 35. The Father loves the Son, and has given all things into His hand. 36. He who believes in the Son has everlasting life; and he who does not believe the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God abides on him.” Whoever believes in the SON, have eternal life.
