Ps 40 : 7 - 8 [ትግርኛ][ግእዝ][ልሙድ]Then I said, “Behold, I come (it is written of me in the volume of the book); I willed to do Your will, O my God, And Your law in the midst of my heart.”
ወንጌል Gospel
Jn 7 : 40 - end [ትግርኛ][ግእዝ][ልሙድ]40. Therefore many from the crowd, when they heard this saying, said, “Truly this is the Prophet.” 41. Others said, “This is the Christ.” But some said, “Will the Christ come out of Galilee? 42. Has not the Scripture said that the Christ comes from the seed of David and from the town of Bethlehem, where David was?” 43. So there was a division among the people because of Him. 44. Now some of them wanted to take Him, but no one laid hands on Him. 45. Then the officers came to the chief priests and Pharisees, who said to them, “Why have you not brought Him?” 46. The officers answered, “No man ever spoke like this Man!” 47. Then the Pharisees answered them, “Are you also deceived? 48. Have any of the rulers or the Pharisees believed in Him? 49. But this crowd that does not know the law is accursed.” 50. Nicodemus (he who came to Jesus by night, being one of them) said to them, 51. “Does our law judge a man before it hears him and knows what he is doing?” 52. They answered and said to him, “Are you also from Galilee? Search and look, for no prophet has arisen out of Galilee.” 53. And everyone went to his own house. Whoever believes in the SON, have eternal life.

Phil 3 : 1 - 10 [ትግርኛ][ግእዝ][ልሙድ]1. Finally, my brethren, rejoice in the Lord. For me to write the same things to you is not tedious, but for you it is safe. 2. Beware of dogs, beware of evil workers, beware of the mutilation! 3. For we are the circumcision, who worship God in the Spirit, rejoice in Christ Jesus, and have no confidence in the flesh, 4. though I also might have confidence in the flesh. If anyone else thinks he may have confidence in the flesh, I more so: 5. circumcised the eighth day, of the stock of Israel, of the tribe of Benjamin, a Hebrew of the Hebrews; concerning the law, a Pharisee; 6. concerning zeal, persecuting the church; concerning the righteousness which is in the law, blameless. 7. But what things were gain to me, these I have counted loss for Christ. 8. Yet indeed I also count all things loss for the excellence of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord, for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and count them as rubbish, that I may gain Christ 9. and be found in Him, not having my own righteousness, which is from the law, but that which is through faith in Christ, the righteousness which is from God by faith; 10. that I may know Him and the power of His resurrection, and the fellowship of His sufferings, being conformed to His death,

1Pet 5 : 1 - 11 [ትግርኛ][ግእዝ][ልሙድ]1. The elders who are among you I exhort, I who am a fellow elder and a witness of the sufferings of Christ, and also a partaker of the glory that will be revealed: 2. Shepherd the flock of God which is among you, serving as overseers, not by compulsion but willingly, not for dishonest gain but eagerly; 3. nor as being lords over those entrusted to you, but being examples to the flock; 4. and when the Chief Shepherd appears, you will receive the crown of glory that does not fade away. 5. Likewise you younger people, submit yourselves to your elders. Yes, all of you be submissive to one another, and be clothed with humility, for “God resists the proud, But gives grace to the humble.” 6. Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time, 7. casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you. 8. Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. 9. Resist him, steadfast in the faith, knowing that the same sufferings are experienced by your brotherhood in the world. 10. But may the God of all grace, who called usb to His eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after you have suffered a while, perfect, establish, strengthen, and settle you. 11. To Him be the glory and the dominion forever and ever. Amen.

Acts 23 : 19 - 24 [ትግርኛ][ግእዝ][ልሙድ]19. Then the commander took him by the hand, went aside, and asked privately, “What is it that you have to tell me?” 20. And he said, “The Jews have agreed to ask that you bring Paul down to the council tomorrow, as though they were going to inquire more fully about him. 21. But do not yield to them, for more than forty of them lie in wait for him, men who have bound themselves by an oath that they will neither eat nor drink till they have killed him; and now they are ready, waiting for the promise from you.” 22. So the commander let the young man depart, and commanded him, “Tell no one that you have revealed these things to me.” 23. And he called for two centurions, saying, “Prepare two hundred soldiers, seventy horsemen, and two hundred spearmen to go to Caesarea at the third hour of the night; 24. and provide mounts to set Paul on, and bring him safely to Felix the governor.”

Jn 10 : 1 - 21 [ትግርኛ][ግእዝ][ልሙድ]1. “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who does not enter the sheepfold by the door, but climbs up some other way, the same is a thief and a robber. 2. But he who enters by the door is the shepherd of the sheep. 3. To him the doorkeeper opens, and the sheep hear his voice; and he calls his own sheep by name and leads them out. 4. And when he brings out his own sheep, he goes before them; and the sheep follow him, for they know his voice. 5. Yet they will by no means follow a stranger, but will flee from him, for they do not know the voice of strangers.” 6. Jesus used this illustration, but they did not understand the things which He spoke to them. 7. Then Jesus said to them again, “Most assuredly, I say to you, I am the door of the sheep. 8. All who ever came before Me are thieves and robbers, but the sheep did not hear them. 9. I am the door. If anyone enters by Me, he will be saved, and will go in and out and find pasture. 10. The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly. 11. “ I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd gives His life for the sheep. 12. But a hireling, he who is not the shepherd, one who does not own the sheep, sees the wolf coming and leaves the sheep and flees; and the wolf catches the sheep and scatters them. 13. The hireling flees because he is a hireling and does not care about the sheep. 14. I am the good shepherd; and I know My sheep, and am known by My own. 15. As the Father knows Me, even so I know the Father; and I lay down My life for the sheep. 16. And other sheep I have which are not of this fold; them also I must bring, and they will hear My voice; and there will be one flock and one shepherd. 17. “Therefore My Father loves Me, because I lay down My life that I may take it again. 18. No one takes it from Me, but I lay it down of Myself. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again. This command I have received from My Father.” 19. Therefore there was a division again among the Jews because of these sayings. 20. And many of them said, “He has a demon and is mad. Why do you listen to Him?” 21. Others said, “These are not the words of one who has a demon. Can a demon open the eyes of the blind?” Whoever believes in the SON, have eternal life.

This is My commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you. 13. Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one's life for his friends. 14. You are My friends if you do whatever I command you. 15. No longer do I call you servants, for a servant does not know what his master is doing; but I have called you friends, for all things that I heard from My Father I have made known to you. 16. You did not choose Me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit, and that your fruit should remain, that whatever you ask the Father in My name He may give you. 17. Lk 15 : 11 - 19 [ትግርኛ][ግእዝ][ልሙድ]11. Then He said: “A certain man had two sons. 12. And the younger of them said to his father, ‘Father, give me the portion of goods that falls to me. ’ So he divided to them his livelihood. 13. And not many days after, the younger son gathered all together, journeyed to a far country, and there wasted his possessions with prodigal living. 14. But when he had spent all, there arose a severe famine in that land, and he began to be in want. 15. Then he went and joined himself to a citizen of that country, and he sent him into his fields to feed swine. 16. And he would gladly have filled his stomach with the pods that the swine ate, and no one gave him anything. 17. “But when he came to himself, he said, ‘How many of my father's hired servants have bread enough and to spare, and I perish with hunger! 18. I will arise and go to my father, and will say to him, “Father, I have sinned against heaven and before you, 19. and I am no longer worthy to be called your son. Make me like one of your hired servants.” ’ ‘It is easier for heaven and earth to pass away than for one tittle of the law to fail,’ says the Lord to his desciples.

መልእክተ ጳውሎስ Pauline Epistle
1Tim 2 : 1 - 8 [ትግርኛ][ግእዝ][ልሙድ]1. Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, 2. for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence. 3. For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, 4. who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth. 5. For there is one God and one Mediator between God and men, the Man Christ Jesus, 6. who gave Himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time, 7. for which I was appointed a preacher and an apostle— I am speaking the truth in Christ and not lying—a teacher of the Gentiles in faith and truth. 8. I desire therefore that the men pray everywhere, lifting up holy hands, without wrath and doubting;

1Pet 2 : 13 - 19 [ትግርኛ][ግእዝ][ልሙድ]13. Therefore submit yourselves to every ordinance of man for the Lord's sake, whether to the king as supreme, 14. or to governors, as to those who are sent by him for the punishment of evildoers and for the praise of those who do good. 15. For this is the will of God, that by doing good you may put to silence the ignorance of foolish men— 16. as free, yet not using liberty as a cloak for vice, but as bondservants of God. 17. Honor all people. Love the brotherhood. Fear God. Honor the king. 18. Servants, be submissive to your masters with all fear, not only to the good and gentle, but also to the harsh. 19. For this is commendable, if because of conscience toward God one endures grief, suffering wrongfully.

Acts 23 : 10 - 20 [ትግርኛ][ግእዝ][ልሙድ]10. Now when there arose a great dissension, the commander, fearing lest Paul might be pulled to pieces by them, commanded the soldiers to go down and take him by force from among them, and bring him into the barracks. 11. But the following night the Lord stood by him and said, “Be of good cheer, Paul; for as you have testified for Me in Jerusalem, so you must also bear witness at Rome.” 12. And when it was day, some of the Jews banded together and bound themselves under an oath, saying that they would neither eat nor drink till they had killed Paul. 13. Now there were more than forty who had formed this conspiracy. 14. They came to the chief priests and elders, and said, “We have bound ourselves under a great oath that we will eat nothing until we have killed Paul. 15. Now you, therefore, together with the council, suggest to the commander that he be brought down to you tomorrow, as though you were going to make further inquiries concerning him; but we are ready to kill him before he comes near.” 16. So when Paul's sister's son heard of their ambush, he went and entered the barracks and told Paul. 17. Then Paul called one of the centurions to him and said, “Take this young man to the commander, for he has something to tell him.” 18. So he took him and brought him to the commander and said, “Paul the prisoner called me to him and asked me to bring this young man to you. He has something to say to you.” 19. Then the commander took him by the hand, went aside, and asked privately, “What is it that you have to tell me?” 20. Lk 19 : 11 - 27 [ትግርኛ][ግእዝ][ልሙድ]11. Now as they heard these things, He spoke another parable, because He was near Jerusalem and because they thought the kingdom of God would appear immediately. 12. Therefore He said: “A certain nobleman went into a far country to receive for himself a kingdom and to return. 13. So he called ten of his servants, delivered to them ten minas, and said to them, ‘Do business till I come. ’ 14. But his citizens hated him, and sent a delegation after him, saying, ‘We will not have this man to reign over us. ’ 15. “And so it was that when he returned, having received the kingdom, he then commanded these servants, to whom he had given the money, to be called to him, that he might know how much every man had gained by trading. 16. Then came the first, saying, ‘Master, your mina has earned ten minas. ’ 17. And he said to him, ‘Well done, good servant; because you were faithful in a very little, have authority over ten cities. ’ 18. And the second came, saying, ‘Master, your mina has earned five minas. ’ 19. Likewise he said to him, ‘You also be over five cities. ’ 20. “Then another came, saying, ‘Master, here is your mina, which I have kept put away in a handkerchief. 21. For I feared you, because you are an austere man. You collect what you did not deposit, and reap what you did not sow. ’ 22. And he said to him, ‘Out of your own mouth I will judge you, you wicked servant. You knew that I was an austere man, collecting what I did not deposit and reaping what I did not sow. 23. Why then did you not put my money in the bank, that at my coming I might have collected it with interest? ’ 24. “And he said to those who stood by, ‘Take the mina from him, and give it to him who has ten minas. ’ 25. (But they said to him, ‘Master, he has ten minas. ’) 26. ‘For I say to you, that to everyone who has will be given; and from him who does not have, even what he has will be taken away from him. 27. But bring here those enemies of mine, who did not want me to reign over them, and slay them before me.’” ‘It is easier for heaven and earth to pass away than for one tittle of the law to fail,’ says the Lord to his desciples.

Mk 9 : 9 - 16 [ትግርኛ][ግእዝ][ልሙድ]9. Now as they came down from the mountain, He commanded them that they should tell no one the things they had seen, till the Son of Man had risen from the dead. 10. So they kept this word to themselves, questioning what the rising from the dead meant. 11. And they asked Him, saying, “Why do the scribes say that Elijah must come first?” 12. Then He answered and told them, “Indeed, Elijah is coming first and restores all things. And how is it written concerning the Son of Man, that He must suffer many things and be treated with contempt? 13. But I say to you that Elijah has also come, and they did to him whatever they wished, as it is written of him.” 14. And when He came to the disciples, He saw a great multitude around them, and scribes disputing with them. 15. Immediately, when they saw Him, all the people were greatly amazed, and running to Him, greeted Him. 16. And He asked the scribes, “What are you discussing with them?” He who has ears to hear, let him hear!

ወንጌል Gospel
Lk 9 : 46 - 56 [ትግርኛ][ግእዝ][ልሙድ]46. Then a dispute arose among them as to which of them would be greatest. 47. And Jesus, perceiving the thought of their heart, took a little child and set him by Him, 48. and said to them, “Whoever receives this little child in My name receives Me; and whoever receives Me receives Him who sent Me. For he who is least among you all will be great.” 49. Now John answered and said, “Master, we saw someone casting out demons in Your name, and we forbade him because he does not follow with us.” 50. But Jesus said to him, “Do not forbid him, for he who is not against us is on our side.” 51. Now it came to pass, when the time had come for Him to be received up, that He steadfastly set His face to go to Jerusalem, 52. and sent messengers before His face. And as they went, they entered a village of the Samaritans, to prepare for Him. 53. But they did not receive Him, because His face was set for the journey to Jerusalem. 54. And when His disciples James and John saw this, they said, “Lord, do You want us to command fire to come down from heaven and consume them, just as Elijah did?” 55. But He turned and rebuked them, and said, “You do not know what manner of spirit you are of. 56. For the Son of Man did not come to destroy men's lives but to save them.” And they went to another village. ‘It is easier for heaven and earth to pass away than for one tittle of the law to fail,’ says the Lord to his desciples.

መልእክተ ጳውሎስ Pauline Epistle
Rom 11 : 1 - 12 [ትግርኛ][ግእዝ][ልሙድ]1. I say then, has God cast away His people? Certainly not! For I also am an Israelite, of the seed of Abraham, of the tribe of Benjamin. 2. God has not cast away His people whom He foreknew. Or do you not know what the Scripture says of Elijah, how he pleads with God against Israel, saying, 3. “LORD, they have killed Your prophets and torn down Your altars, and I alone am left, and they seek my life” ? a 4. But what does the divine response say to him? “ I have reserved for Myself seven thousand men who have not bowed the knee to Baal.” 5. Even so then, at this present time there is a remnant according to the election of grace. 6. And if by grace, then it is no longer of works; otherwise grace is no longer grace. But if it is of works, it is no longer grace; otherwise work is no longer work. 7. What then? Israel has not obtained what it seeks; but the elect have obtained it, and the rest were blinded. 8. Just as it is written: “God has given them a spirit of stupor, Eyes that they should not see And ears that they should not hear, To this very day.” 9. And David says: “Let their table become a snare and a trap, A stumbling block and a recompense to them. 10. Let their eyes be darkened, so that they do not see, And bow down their back always.” 11. I say then, have they stumbled that they should fall? Certainly not! But through their fall, to provoke them to jealousy, salvation has come to the Gentiles. 12. Now if their fall is riches for the world, and their failure riches for the Gentiles, how much more their fullness!

Js 5 : 12 - end [ትግርኛ][ግእዝ][ልሙድ]12. But above all, my brethren, do not swear, either by heaven or by earth or with any other oath. But let your “Yes” be “Yes,” and your “No,” “No,” lest you fall into judgment. 13. Is anyone among you suffering? Let him pray. Is anyone cheerful? Let him sing psalms. 14. Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord. 15. And the prayer of faith will save the sick, and the Lord will raise him up. And if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven. 16. Confess your trespasses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much. 17. Elijah was a man with a nature like ours, and he prayed earnestly that it would not rain; and it did not rain on the land for three years and six months. 18. And he prayed again, and the heaven gave rain, and the earth produced its fruit. 19. Brethren, if anyone among you wanders from the truth, and someone turns him back, 20. let him know that he who turns a sinner from the error of his way will save a soul from death and cover a multitude of sins.

For Moses truly said to the fathers, ‘ The LORD your God will raise up for you a Prophet like me from your brethren. Him you shall hear in all things, whatever He says to you. 23. And it shall be that every soul who will not hear that Prophet shall be utterly destroyed from among the people. ’ 24. Yes, and all the prophets, from Samuel and those who follow, as many as have spoken, have also foretold these days. 25. You are sons of the prophets, and of the covenant which God made with our fathers, saying to Abraham, ‘ And in your seed all the families of the earth shall be blessed. ’ 26. And many lepers were in Israel in the time of Elisha the prophet, and none of them was cleansed except Naaman the Syrian.” 28. So all those in the synagogue, when they heard these things, were filled with wrath, 29. and rose up and thrust Him out of the city; and they led Him to the brow of the hill on which their city was built, that they might throw Him down over the cliff. 30. Then passing through the midst of them, He went His way. 31. Then He went down to Capernaum, a city of Galilee, and was teaching them on the Sabbaths. 32. Woe to you when all men speak well of you, For so did their fathers to the false prophets. 27. “But I say to you who hear: Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, 28. bless those who curse you, and pray for those who spitefully use you. 29. To him who strikes you on the one cheek, offer the other also. And from him who takes away your cloak, do not withhold your tunic either. 30. Give to everyone who asks of you. And from him who takes away your goods do not ask them back. 31. And just as you want men to do to you, you also do to them likewise. 32. “But if you love those who love you, what credit is that to you? For even sinners love those who love them. 33. And if you do good to those who do good to you, what credit is that to you? For even sinners do the same. 34. And if you lend to those from whom you hope to receive back, what credit is that to you? For even sinners lend to sinners to receive as much back. 35. But love your enemies, do good, and lend, hoping for nothing in return; and your reward will be great, and you will be sons of the Most High. For He is kind to the unthankful and evil. ‘It is easier for heaven and earth to pass away than for one tittle of the law to fail,’ says the Lord to his desciples.

Heb 11 : 32 - end [ትግርኛ][ግእዝ][ልሙድ]32. And what more shall I say? For the time would fail me to tell of Gideon and Barak and Samson and Jephthah, also of David and Samuel and the prophets: 33. who through faith subdued kingdoms, worked righteousness, obtained promises, stopped the mouths of lions, 34. quenched the violence of fire, escaped the edge of the sword, out of weakness were made strong, became valiant in battle, turned to flight the armies of the aliens. 35. Women received their dead raised to life again. Others were tortured, not accepting deliverance, that they might obtain a better resurrection. 36. Still others had trial of mockings and scourgings, yes, and of chains and imprisonment. 37. They were stoned, they were sawn in two, were tempted, were slain with the sword. They wandered about in sheepskins and goatskins, being destitute, afflicted, tormented— 38. of whom the world was not worthy. They wandered in deserts and mountains, in dens and caves of the earth. 39. And all these, having obtained a good testimony through faith, did not receive the promise, 40. God having provided something better for us, that they should not be made perfect apart from us.

1Jn 5 : 14 - end [ትግርኛ][ግእዝ][ልሙድ]14. Now this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. 15. And if we know that He hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we have asked of Him. 16. If anyone sees his brother sinning a sin which does not lead to death, he will ask, and He will give him life for those who commit sin not leading to death. There is sin leading to death. I do not say that he should pray about that. 17. All unrighteousness is sin, and there is sin not leading to death. 18. We know that whoever is born of God does not sin; but he who has been born of God keeps himself, and the wicked one does not touch him. 19. We know that we are of God, and the whole world lies under the sway of the wicked one. 20. And we know that the Son of God has come and has given us an understanding, that we may know Him who is true; and we are in Him who is true, in His Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God and eternal life. 21. Little children, keep yourselves from idols. Amen.

Acts 4 : 19 - 23 [ትግርኛ][ግእዝ][ልሙድ]19. But Peter and John answered and said to them, “Whether it is right in the sight of God to listen to you more than to God, you judge. 20. For we cannot but speak the things which we have seen and heard.” 21. So when they had further threatened them, they let them go, finding no way of punishing them, because of the people, since they all glorified God for what had been done. 22. For the man was over forty years old on whom this miracle of healing had been performed. 23. And being let go, they went to their own companions and reported all that the chief priests and elders had said to them.

Lk 10 : 25 - 29 [ትግርኛ][ግእዝ][ልሙድ]25. And behold, a certain lawyer stood up and tested Him, saying, “Teacher, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?” 26. He said to him, “What is written in the law? What is your reading of it?” 27. So he answered and said, “‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your strength, and with all your mind, ’ and ‘your neighbor as yourself. ’” 28. And He said to him, “You have answered rightly; do this and you will live.” 29. But he, wanting to justify himself, said to Jesus, “And who is my neighbor?” ‘It is easier for heaven and earth to pass away than for one tittle of the law to fail,’ says the Lord to his desciples.

From that time many of His disciples went back and walked with Him no more. 67. Then Jesus said to the twelve, “Do you also want to go away?” 68. But Simon Peter answered Him, “Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life. 69. Also we have come to believe and know that You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.” 70. Jesus answered them, “Did I not choose you, the twelve, and one of you is a devil?” 71. He spoke of Judas Iscariot, the son of Simon, for it was he who would betray Him, being one of the twelve. Mt 1 : 1 - 17 [ትግርኛ][ግእዝ][ልሙድ]1. The book of the genealogy of Jesus Christ, the Son of David, the Son of Abraham: 2. Abraham begot Isaac, Isaac begot Jacob, and Jacob begot Judah and his brothers. 3. Judah begot Perez and Zerah by Tamar, Perez begot Hezron, and Hezron begot Ram. 4. Ram begot Amminadab, Amminadab begot Nahshon, and Nahshon begot Salmon. 5. Salmon begot Boaz by Rahab, Boaz begot Obed by Ruth, Obed begot Jesse, 6. and Jesse begot David the king. David the king begot Solomon by her who had been the wife of Uriah. 7. Solomon begot Rehoboam, Rehoboam begot Abijah, and Abijah begot Asa. 8. Asa begot Jehoshaphat, Jehoshaphat begot Joram, and Joram begot Uzziah. 9. Uzziah begot Jotham, Jotham begot Ahaz, and Ahaz begot Hezekiah. 10. Hezekiah begot Manasseh, Manasseh begot Amon, and Amon begot Josiah. 11. Josiah begot Jeconiah and his brothers about the time they were carried away to Babylon. 12. And after they were brought to Babylon, Jeconiah begot Shealtiel, and Shealtiel begot Zerubbabel. 13. Zerubbabel begot Abiud, Abiud begot Eliakim, and Eliakim begot Azor. 14. Azor begot Zadok, Zadok begot Achim, and Achim begot Eliud. 15. Eliud begot Eleazar, Eleazar begot Matthan, and Matthan begot Jacob. 16. And Jacob begot Joseph the husband of Mary, of whom was born Jesus who is called Christ. 17. So all the generations from Abraham to David are fourteen generations, from David until the captivity in Babylon are fourteen generations, and from the captivity in Babylon until the Christ are fourteen generations. The Lord told his desciples, ‘Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will by no means pass away.’

Heb 9 : 1 - 10 [ትግርኛ][ግእዝ][ልሙድ]1. Then indeed, even the first covenant had ordinances of divine service and the earthly sanctuary. 2. For a tabernacle was prepared: the first part, in which was the lampstand, the table, and the showbread, which is called the sanctuary; 3. and behind the second veil, the part of the tabernacle which is called the Holiest of All, 4. which had the golden censer and the ark of the covenant overlaid on all sides with gold, in which were the golden pot that had the manna, Aaron's rod that budded, and the tablets of the covenant; 5. and above it were the cherubim of glory overshadowing the mercy seat. Of these things we cannot now speak in detail. 6. Now when these things had been thus prepared, the priests always went into the first part of the tabernacle, performing the services. 7. But into the second part the high priest went alone once a year, not without blood, which he offered for himself and for the people's sins committed in ignorance; 8. the Holy Spirit indicating this, that the way into the Holiest of All was not yet made manifest while the first tabernacle was still standing. 9. It was symbolic for the present time in which both gifts and sacrifices are offered which cannot make him who performed the service perfect in regard to the conscience— 10. concerned only with foods and drinks, various washings, and fleshly ordinances imposed until the time of reformation.

2Jn 1 : 1 - 7 [ትግርኛ][ግእዝ][ልሙድ]1. The Elder, To the elect lady and her children, whom I love in truth, and not only I, but also all those who have known the truth, 2. because of the truth which abides in us and will be with us forever: 3. Grace, mercy, and peace will be with you from God the Father and from the Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of the Father, in truth and love. 4. I rejoiced greatly that I have found some of your children walking in truth, as we received commandment from the Father. 5. And now I plead with you, lady, not as though I wrote a new commandment to you, but that which we have had from the beginning: that we love one another. 6. This is love, that we walk according to His commandments. This is the commandment, that as you have heard from the beginning, you should walk in it. 7. For many deceivers have gone out into the world who do not confess Jesus Christ as coming in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an antichrist.

Lk 1 : 39 - 56 [ትግርኛ][ግእዝ][ልሙድ]39. Now Mary arose in those days and went into the hill country with haste, to a city of Judah, 40. and entered the house of Zacharias and greeted Elizabeth. 41. And it happened, when Elizabeth heard the greeting of Mary, that the babe leaped in her womb; and Elizabeth was filled with the Holy Spirit. 42. Then she spoke out with a loud voice and said, “Blessed are you among women, and blessed is the fruit of your womb! 43. But why is this granted to me, that the mother of my Lord should come to me? 44. For indeed, as soon as the voice of your greeting sounded in my ears, the babe leaped in my womb for joy. 45. Blessed is she who believed, for there will be a fulfillment of those things which were told her from the Lord.” 46. And Mary said: “My soul magnifies the Lord, 47. And my spirit has rejoiced in God my Savior. 48. For He has regarded the lowly state of His maidservant; For behold, henceforth all generations will call me blessed. 49. For He who is mighty has done great things for me, And holy is His name. 50. And His mercy is on those who fear Him From generation to generation. 51. He has shown strength with His arm; He has scattered the proud in the imagination of their hearts. 52. He has put down the mighty from their thrones, And exalted the lowly. 53. He has filled the hungry with good things, And the rich He has sent away empty. 54. He has helped His servant Israel, In remembrance of His mercy, 55. 2Cor 11 : 21 - end [ትግርኛ][ግእዝ][ልሙድ]21. To our shame I say that we were too weak for that! But in whatever anyone is bold— I speak foolishly— I am bold also. 22. Are they Hebrews? So am I. Are they Israelites? So am I. Are they the seed of Abraham? So am I. 23. Are they ministers of Christ? — I speak as a fool— I am more: in labors more abundant, in stripes above measure, in prisons more frequently, in deaths often. 24. From the Jews five times I received forty stripes minus one. 25. Three times I was beaten with rods; once I was stoned; three times I was shipwrecked; a night and a day I have been in the deep; 26. in journeys often, in perils of waters, in perils of robbers, in perils of my own countrymen, in perils of the Gentiles, in perils in the city, in perils in the wilderness, in perils in the sea, in perils among false brethren; 27. in weariness and toil, in sleeplessness often, in hunger and thirst, in fastings often, in cold and nakedness— 28. besides the other things, what comes upon me daily: my deep concern for all the churches. 29. Who is weak, and I am not weak? Who is made to stumble, and I do not burn with indignation? 30. If I must boast, I will boast in the things which concern my infirmity. 31. The God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who is blessed forever, knows that I am not lying. 32. 1Jn 4 : 16 - end [ትግርኛ][ግእዝ][ልሙድ]16. And we have known and believed the love that God has for us. God is love, and he who abides in love abides in God, and God in him. 17. Love has been perfected among us in this: that we may have boldness in the day of judgment; because as He is, so are we in this world. 18. There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves torment. But he who fears has not been made perfect in love. 19. We love Him because He first loved us. 20. If someone says, “ I love God,” and hates his brother, he is a liar; for he who does not love his brother whom he has seen, how can he love God whom he has not seen? 21. And this commandment we have from Him: that he who loves God must love his brother also.

And when they had prayed, the place where they were assembled together was shaken; and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit, and they spoke the word of God with boldness. 32. Now the multitude of those who believed were of one heart and one soul; neither did anyone say that any of the things he possessed was his own, but they had all things in common. 33. And with great power the apostles gave witness to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus. And great grace was upon them all. 34. Nor was there anyone among them who lacked; for all who were possessors of lands or houses sold them, and brought the proceeds of the things that were sold, 35. and laid them at the apostles’ feet; and they distributed to each as anyone had need. 36. Rom 10 : 11 - end [ትግርኛ][ግእዝ][ልሙድ]11. For the Scripture says, “Whoever believes on Him will not be put to shame.” 12. For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek, for the same Lord over all is rich to all who call upon Him. 13. For “whoever calls on the name of the LORD shall be saved.” 14. How then shall they call on Him in whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in Him of whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without a preacher? 15. And how shall they preach unless they are sent? As it is written: “How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the gospel of peace, Who bring glad tidings of good things!” 16. But they have not all obeyed the gospel. For Isaiah says, “LORD, who has believed our report?” 17. So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. 18. But I say, have they not heard? Yes indeed: “Their sound has gone out to all the earth, And their words to the ends of the world.” 19. But I say, did Israel not know? First Moses says: “ I will provoke you to jealousy by those who are not a nation, I will move you to anger by a foolish nation.” 20. But Isaiah is very bold and says: “ I was found by those who did not seek Me; I was made manifest to those who did not ask for Me.” 21. But to Israel he says: “All day long I have stretched out My hands To a disobedient and contrary people.”

Acts 16 : 8 - 15 [ትግርኛ][ግእዝ][ልሙድ]8. So passing by Mysia, they came down to Troas. 9. And a vision appeared to Paul in the night. A man of Macedonia stood and pleaded with him, saying, “Come over to Macedonia and help us.” 10. Now after he had seen the vision, immediately we sought to go to Macedonia, concluding that the Lord had called us to preach the gospel to them. 11. Therefore, sailing from Troas, we ran a straight course to Samothrace, and the next day came to Neapolis, 12. and from there to Philippi, which is the foremost city of that part of Macedonia, a colony. And we were staying in that city for some days. 13. And on the Sabbath day we went out of the city to the riverside, where prayer was customarily made; and we sat down and spoke to the women who met there. 14. Now a certain woman named Lydia heard us. She was a seller of purple from the city of Thyatira, who worshiped God. The Lord opened her heart to heed the things spoken by Paul. 15. And when she and her household were baptized, she begged us, saying, “If you have judged me to be faithful to the Lord, come to my house and stay.” So she persuaded us.

Ps 35 : 11 - 12 [ትግርኛ][ግእዝ][ልሙድ]Unjust witnesses rose up against me, Asking me things I knew nothing about; They repaid me evil for good, And bereavement for my soul.
ወንጌል Gospel
Jn 5 : 19 - 27 [ትግርኛ][ግእዝ][ልሙድ]19. Then Jesus answered and said to them, “Most assuredly, I say to you, the Son can do nothing of Himself, but what He sees the Father do; for whatever He does, the Son also does in like manner. 20. For the Father loves the Son, and shows Him all things that He Himself does; and He will show Him greater works than these, that you may marvel. 21. For as the Father raises the dead and gives life to them, even so the Son gives life to whom He will. 22. For the Father judges no one, but has committed all judgment to the Son, 23. that all should honor the Son just as they honor the Father. He who does not honor the Son does not honor the Father who sent Him. 24. “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who hears My word and believes in Him who sent Me has everlasting life, and shall not come into judgment, but has passed from death into life. 25. Most assuredly, I say to you, the hour is coming, and now is, when the dead will hear the voice of the Son of God; and those who hear will live. 26. For as the Father has life in Himself, so He has granted the Son to have life in Himself, 27. and has given Him authority to execute judgment also, because He is the Son of Man. Whoever believes in the SON, have eternal life.

Lk 6 : 31 - 38 [ትግርኛ][ግእዝ][ልሙድ]31. 36. Therefore be merciful, just as your Father also is merciful. 37. “Judge not, and you shall not be judged. Condemn not, and you shall not be condemned. Forgive, and you will be forgiven. 38. Give, and it will be given to you: good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over will be put into your bosom. For with the same measure that you use, it will be measured back to you.” ‘It is easier for heaven and earth to pass away than for one tittle of the law to fail,’ says the Lord to his desciples.

መልእክተ ጳውሎስ Pauline Epistle
1Cor 15 : 19 - 32 [ትግርኛ][ግእዝ][ልሙድ]19. If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men the most pitiable. 20. But now Christ is risen from the dead, and has become the first fruits of those who have fallen asleep. 21. For since by man came death, by Man also came the resurrection of the dead. 22. For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ all shall be made alive. 23. But each one in his own order: Christ the first fruits, afterward those who are Christ's at His coming. 24. Then comes the end, when He delivers the kingdom to God the Father, when He puts an end to all rule and all authority and power. 25. For He must reign till He has put all enemies under His feet. 26. The last enemy that will be destroyed is death. 27. For “He has put all things under His feet.” But when He says “all things are put under Him,” it is evident that He who put all things under Him is excepted. 28. Now when all things are made subject to Him, then the Son Himself will also be subject to Him who put all things under Him, that God may be all in all. 29. Otherwise, what will they do who are baptized for the dead, if the dead do not rise at all? Why then are they baptized for the dead? 30. And why do we stand in jeopardy every hour? 31. I affirm, by the boasting in you which I have in Christ Jesus our Lord, I die daily. 32. If, in the manner of men, I have fought with beasts at Ephesus, what advantage is it to me? If the dead do not rise, “Let us eat and drink, for tomorrow we die!”
ዘካልእ መልእክት Universal Epistle
2Pet 3 : 10 - end [ትግርኛ][ግእዝ][ልሙድ]10. But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night, in which the heavens will pass away with a great noise, and the elements will melt with fervent heat; both the earth and the works that are in it will be burned up. 11. Therefore, since all these things will be dissolved, what manner of persons ought you to be in holy conduct and godliness, 12. looking for and hastening the coming of the day of God, because of which the heavens will be dissolved, being on fire, and the elements will melt with fervent heat? 13. Nevertheless we, according to His promise, look for new heavens and a new earth in which righteousness dwells. 14. Therefore, beloved, looking forward to these things, be diligent to be found by Him in peace, without spot and blameless; 15. and consider that the longsuffering of our Lord is salvation—as also our beloved brother Paul, according to the wisdom given to him, has written to you, 16. as also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things, in which are some things hard to understand, which untaught and unstable people twist to their own destruction, as they do also the rest of the Scriptures. 17. You therefore, beloved, since you know this beforehand, beware lest you also fall from your own steadfastness, being led away with the error of the wicked; 18. but grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To Him be the glory both now and forever. Amen.
ግብረ ሃዋርያት Acts
Acts 26 : 1 - 11 [ትግርኛ][ግእዝ][ልሙድ]1. Then Agrippa said to Paul, “You are permitted to speak for yourself.” So Paul stretched out his hand and answered for himself: 2. “ I think myself happy, King Agrippa, because today I shall answer for myself before you concerning all the things of which I am accused by the Jews, 3. especially because you are expert in all customs and questions which have to do with the Jews. Therefore I beg you to hear me patiently. 4. “My manner of life from my youth, which was spent from the beginning among my own nation at Jerusalem, all the Jews know. 5. They knew me from the first, if they were willing to testify, that according to the strictest sect of our religion I lived a Pharisee. 6. And now I stand and am judged for the hope of the promise made by God to our fathers. 7. To this promise our twelve tribes, earnestly serving God night and day, hope to attain. For this hope's sake, King Agrippa, I am accused by the Jews. 8. Why should it be thought incredible by you that God raises the dead? 9. “Indeed, I myself thought I must do many things contrary to the name of Jesus of Nazareth. 10. This I also did in Jerusalem, and many of the saints I shut up in prison, having received authority from the chief priests; and when they were put to death, I cast my vote against them. 11. And I punished them often in every synagogue and compelled them to blaspheme; and being exceedingly enraged against them, I persecuted them even to foreign cities.

ወንጌል Gospel
Lk 12 : 32 - 48 [ትግርኛ][ግእዝ][ልሙድ]32. “Do not fear, little flock, for it is your Father's good pleasure to give you the kingdom. 33. Sell what you have and give alms; provide yourselves money bags which do not grow old, a treasure in the heavens that does not fail, where no thief approaches nor moth destroys. 34. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also. 35. “Let your waist be girded and your lamps burning; 36. and you yourselves be like men who wait for their master, when he will return from the wedding, that when he comes and knocks they may open to him immediately. 37. Blessed are those servants whom the master, when he comes, will find watching. Assuredly, I say to you that he will gird himself and have them sit down to eat, and will come and serve them. 38. And if he should come in the second watch, or come in the third watch, and find them so, blessed are those servants. 39. But know this, that if the master of the house had known what hour the thief would come, he would have watched and not allowed his house to be broken into. 40. Therefore you also be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect.” 41. Then Peter said to Him, “Lord, do You speak this parable only to us, or to all people?” 42. And the Lord said, “Who then is that faithful and wise steward, whom his master will make ruler over his household, to give them their portion of food in due season? 43. Blessed is that servant whom his master will find so doing when he comes. 44. Truly, I say to you that he will make him ruler over all that he has. 45. But if that servant says in his heart, ‘My master is delaying his coming, ’ and begins to beat the male and female servants, and to eat and drink and be drunk, 46. the master of that servant will come on a day when he is not looking for him, and at an hour when he is not aware, and will cut him in two and appoint him his portion with the unbelievers. 47. And that servant who knew his master's will, and did not prepare himself or do according to his will, shall be beaten with many stripes. 48. But he who did not know, yet committed things deserving of stripes, shall be beaten with few. For everyone to whom much is given, from him much will be required; and to whom much has been committed, of him they will ask the more. ‘It is easier for heaven and earth to pass away than for one tittle of the law to fail,’ says the Lord to his desciples.
