ወንጌል Gospel

Jn 18 : 31 - end [ትግርኛ][ግእዝ][ልሙድ]

31. Then Pilate said to them, “You take Him and judge Him according to your law.” Therefore the Jews said to him, “It is not lawful for us to put anyone to death,” 32. that the saying of Jesus might be fulfilled which He spoke, signifying by what death He would die. 33. Then Pilate entered the Praetorium again, called Jesus, and said to Him, “Are You the King of the Jews?” 34. Jesus answered him, “Are you speaking for yourself about this, or did others tell you this concerning Me?” 35. Pilate answered, “Am I a Jew? Your own nation and the chief priests have delivered You to me. What have You done?” 36. Jesus answered, “My kingdom is not of this world. If My kingdom were of this world, My servants would fight, so that I should not be delivered to the Jews; but now My kingdom is not from here.” 37. Pilate therefore said to Him, “Are You a king then?” Jesus answered, “You say rightly that I am a king. For this cause I was born, and for this cause I have come into the world, that I should bear witness to the truth. Everyone who is of the truth hears My voice.” 38. Pilate said to Him, “What is truth?” And when he had said this, he went out again to the Jews, and said to them, “ I find no fault in Him at all. 39. “But you have a custom that I should release someone to you at the Passover. Do you therefore want me to release to you the King of the Jews?” 40. Then they all cried again, saying, “Not this Man, but Barabbas!” Now Barabbas was a robber. Whoever believes in the SON, have eternal life.

Rom 16 : 19 - end [ትግርኛ][ግእዝ][ልሙድ]

19. For your obedience has become known to all. Therefore I am glad on your behalf; but I want you to be wise in what is good, and simple concerning evil. 20. And the God of peace will crush Satan under your feet shortly. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you. Amen. 21. Timothy, my fellow worker, and Lucius, Jason, and Sosipater, my countrymen, greet you. 22. I, Tertius, who wrote this epistle, greet you in the Lord. 23. Gaius, my host and the host of the whole church, greets you. Erastus, the treasurer of the city, greets you, and Quartus, a brother. 24. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen. 25. Now to Him who is able to establish you according to my gospel and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery kept secret since the world began 26. but now made manifest, and by the prophetic Scriptures made known to all nations, according to the commandment of the everlasting God, for obedience to the faith — 27. to God, alone wise, be glory through Jesus Christ forever. Amen.

1Pet 2 : 20 - end [ትግርኛ][ግእዝ][ልሙድ]

20. For what credit is it if, when you are beaten for your faults, you take it patiently? But when you do good and suffer, if you take it patiently, this is commendable before God. 21. For to this you were called, because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that you should follow His steps: 22. “Who committed no sin, Nor was deceit found in His mouth”; 23. who, when He was reviled, did not revile in return; when He suffered, He did not threaten, but committed Himself to Him who judges righteously; 24. who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness—by whose stripes you were healed. 25. For you were like sheep going astray, but have now returned to the Shepherd and Overseer of your souls.

Acts 13 : 26 - 30 [ትግርኛ][ግእዝ][ልሙድ]

26. “Men and brethren, sons of the family of Abraham, and those among you who fear God, to you the word of this salvation has been sent. 27. For those who dwell in Jerusalem, and their rulers, because they did not know Him, nor even the voices of the Prophets which are read every Sabbath, have fulfilled them in condemning Him. 28. And though they found no cause for death in Him, they asked Pilate that He should be put to death. 29. Now when they had fulfilled all that was written concerning Him, they took Him down from the tree and laid Him in a tomb. 30. But God raised Him from the dead.

Ps 80 : 2 - 3 [ትግርኛ][ግእዝ][ልሙድ]

Raise up Your power Before Ephraim, Benjamin, and Manasseh, And come for our salvation. O God, convert us, And reveal Your face, and we shall be saved.

ወንጌል Gospel

Jn 10 : 14 - 21 [ትግርኛ][ግእዝ][ልሙድ]

14. I am the good shepherd; and I know My sheep, and am known by My own. 15. As the Father knows Me, even so I know the Father; and I lay down My life for the sheep. 16. And other sheep I have which are not of this fold; them also I must bring, and they will hear My voice; and there will be one flock and one shepherd. 17. “Therefore My Father loves Me, because I lay down My life that I may take it again. 18. No one takes it from Me, but I lay it down of Myself. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again. This command I have received from My Father.” 19. Therefore there was a division again among the Jews because of these sayings. 20. And many of them said, “He has a demon and is mad. Why do you listen to Him?” 21. Others said, “These are not the words of one who has a demon. Can a demon open the eyes of the blind?” Whoever believes in the SON, have eternal life.

Mt 22 : 1 - 7 [ትግርኛ][ግእዝ][ልሙድ]

1. And Jesus answered and spoke to them again by parables and said: 2. “The kingdom of heaven is like a certain king who arranged a marriage for his son, 3. and sent out his servants to call those who were invited to the wedding; and they were not willing to come. 4. Again, he sent out other servants, saying, ‘Tell those who are invited, “See, I have prepared my dinner; my oxen and fatted cattle are killed, and all things are ready. Come to the wedding.” ’ 5. But they made light of it and went their ways, one to his own farm, another to his business. 6. And the rest seized his servants, treated them spitefully, and killed them. 7. But when the king heard about it, he was furious. And he sent out his armies, destroyed those murderers, and burned up their city. The Lord told his desciples, ‘Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will by no means pass away.’

ወንጌል Gospel

Mt 1 : 1 - 17 [ትግርኛ][ግእዝ][ልሙድ]

1. The book of the genealogy of Jesus Christ, the Son of David, the Son of Abraham: 2. Abraham begot Isaac, Isaac begot Jacob, and Jacob begot Judah and his brothers. 3. Judah begot Perez and Zerah by Tamar, Perez begot Hezron, and Hezron begot Ram. 4. Ram begot Amminadab, Amminadab begot Nahshon, and Nahshon begot Salmon. 5. Salmon begot Boaz by Rahab, Boaz begot Obed by Ruth, Obed begot Jesse, 6. and Jesse begot David the king. David the king begot Solomon by her who had been the wife of Uriah. 7. Solomon begot Rehoboam, Rehoboam begot Abijah, and Abijah begot Asa. 8. Asa begot Jehoshaphat, Jehoshaphat begot Joram, and Joram begot Uzziah. 9. Uzziah begot Jotham, Jotham begot Ahaz, and Ahaz begot Hezekiah. 10. Hezekiah begot Manasseh, Manasseh begot Amon, and Amon begot Josiah. 11. Josiah begot Jeconiah and his brothers about the time they were carried away to Babylon. 12. And after they were brought to Babylon, Jeconiah begot Shealtiel, and Shealtiel begot Zerubbabel. 13. Zerubbabel begot Abiud, Abiud begot Eliakim, and Eliakim begot Azor. 14. Azor begot Zadok, Zadok begot Achim, and Achim begot Eliud. 15. Eliud begot Eleazar, Eleazar begot Matthan, and Matthan begot Jacob. 16. And Jacob begot Joseph the husband of Mary, of whom was born Jesus who is called Christ. 17. So all the generations from Abraham to David are fourteen generations, from David until the captivity in Babylon are fourteen generations, and from the captivity in Babylon until the Christ are fourteen generations. The Lord told his desciples, ‘Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will by no means pass away.’

መልእክተ ጳውሎስ Pauline Epistle

Rom 9 : 1 - 8 [ትግርኛ][ግእዝ][ልሙድ]

1. I tell the truth in Christ, I am not lying, my conscience also bearing me witness in the Holy Spirit, 2. that I have great sorrow and continual grief in my heart. 3. For I could wish that I myself were accursed from Christ for my brethren, my countrymen according to the flesh, 4. who are Israelites, to whom pertain the adoption, the glory, the covenants, the giving of the law, the service of God, and the promises; 5. of whom are the fathers and from whom, according to the flesh, Christ came, who is over all, the eternally blessed God. Amen. 6. But it is not that the word of God has taken no effect. For they are not all Israel who are of Israel, 7. nor are they all children because they are the seed of Abraham; but, “In Isaac your seed shall be called.” 8. That is, those who are the children of the flesh, these are not the children of God; but the children of the promise are counted as the seed.

ዘካልእ መልእክት Universal Epistle

1Jn 4 : 1 - 9 [ትግርኛ][ግእዝ][ልሙድ]

1. Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are of God; because many false prophets have gone out into the world. 2. By this you know the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is of God, 3. and every spirit that does not confess that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is not of God. And this is the spirit of the Antichrist, which you have heard was coming, and is now already in the world. 4. You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world. 5. They are of the world. Therefore they speak as of the world, and the world hears them. 6. We are of God. He who knows God hears us; he who is not of God does not hear us. By this we know the spirit of truth and the spirit of error. 7. Beloved, let us love one another, for love is of God; and everyone who loves is born of God and knows God. 8. He who does not love does not know God, for God is love. 9. In this the love of God was manifested toward us, that God has sent His only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through Him.

19. Repent therefore and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, so that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord, 20. and that He may send Jesus Christ, who was preached to you before, 21. whom heaven must receive until the times of restoration of all things, which God has spoken by the mouth of all His holy prophets since the world began. 22. For Moses truly said to the fathers, ‘ The LORD your God will raise up for you a Prophet like me from your brethren. Him you shall hear in all things, whatever He says to you. 23. And it shall be that every soul who will not hear that Prophet shall be utterly destroyed from among the people. ’ 24. Yes, and all the prophets, from Samuel and those who follow, as many as have spoken, have also foretold these days. 25. You are sons of the prophets, and of the covenant which God made with our fathers, saying to Abraham, ‘ And in your seed all the families of the earth shall be blessed. ’ 26. To you first, God, having raised up His Servant Jesus, sent Him to bless you, in turning away every one of you from your iniquities.”

ወንጌል Gospel

Mt 1 : 18 - end [ትግርኛ][ግእዝ][ልሙድ]

18. Now the birth of Jesus Christ was as follows: After His mother Mary was betrothed to Joseph, before they came together, she was found with child of the Holy Spirit. 19. Then Joseph her husband, being a just man, and not wanting to make her a public example, was minded to put her away secretly. 20. But while he thought about these things, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream, saying, “Joseph, son of David, do not be afraid to take to you Mary your wife, for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Spirit. 21. And she will bring forth a Son, and you shall call His name JESUS, for He will save His people from their sins.” 22. So all this was done that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the Lord through the prophet, saying: 23. “Behold, the virgin shall be with child, and bear a Son, and they shall call His name Immanuel,” which is translated, “God with us.” 24. Then Joseph, being aroused from sleep, did as the angel of the Lord commanded him and took to him his wife, 25. and did not know her till she had brought forth her firstborn Son. And he called His name JESUS. The Lord told his desciples, ‘Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will by no means pass away.’

Then Herod, when he had secretly called the wise men, determined from them what time the star appeared. 8. Gal 4 : 1 - 11 [ትግርኛ][ግእዝ][ልሙድ]

1. Now I say that the heir, as long as he is a child, does not differ at all from a slave, though he is master of all, 2. but is under guardians and stewards until the time appointed by the father. 3. Even so we, when we were children, were in bondage under the elements of the world. 4. But when the fullness of the time had come, God sent forth His Son, born of a woman, born under the law, 5. to redeem those who were under the law, that we might receive the adoption as sons. 6. And because you are sons, God has sent forth the Spirit of His Son into your hearts, crying out, “Abba, Father!” 7. Therefore you are no longer a slave but a son, and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ. 8. But then, indeed, when you did not know God, you served those which by nature are not gods. 9. But now after you have known God, or rather are known by God, how is it that you turn again to the weak and beggarly elements, to which you desire again to be in bondage? 10. You observe days and months and seasons and years. 11. I am afraid for you, lest I have labored for you in vain.

1Jn 4 : 8 - 16 [ትግርኛ][ግእዝ][ልሙድ]

8. He who does not love does not know God, for God is love. 9. In this the love of God was manifested toward us, that God has sent His only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through Him. 10. In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins. 11. Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another. 12. No one has seen God at any time. If we love one another, God abides in us, and His love has been perfected in us. 13. By this we know that we abide in Him, and He in us, because He has given us of His Spirit. 14. And we have seen and testify that the Father has sent the Son as Savior of the world. 15. Whoever confesses that Jesus is the Son of God, God abides in him, and he in God. 16. And we have known and believed the love that God has for us. God is love, and he who abides in love abides in God, and God in him.

ወንጌል Gospel

Lk 2 : 1 - 20 [ትግርኛ][ግእዝ][ልሙድ]

1. And it came to pass in those days that a decree went out from Caesar Augustus that all the world should be registered. 2. This census first took place while Quirinius was governing Syria. 3. So all went to be registered, everyone to his own city. 4. Joseph also went up from Galilee, out of the city of Nazareth, into Judea, to the city of David, which is called Bethlehem, because he was of the house and lineage of David, 5. to be registered with Mary, his betrothed wife, who was with child. 6. So it was, that while they were there, the days were completed for her to be delivered. 7. And she brought forth her firstborn Son, and wrapped Him in swaddling cloths, and laid Him in a manger, because there was no room for them in the inn. 8. Now there were in the same country shepherds living out in the fields, keeping watch over their flock by night. 9. And behold, an angel of the Lord stood before them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were greatly afraid. 10. Then the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid, for behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy which will be to all people. 11. For there is born to you this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord. 12. And this will be the sign to you: You will find a Babe wrapped in swaddling cloths, lying in a manger.” 13. And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God and saying: 14. “Glory to God in the highest, And on earth peace, goodwill toward men!” 15. So it was, when the angels had gone away from them into heaven, that the shepherds said to one another, “Let us now go to Bethlehem and see this thing that has come to pass, which the Lord has made known to us.” 16. And they came with haste and found Mary and Joseph, and the Babe lying in a manger. 17. Now when they had seen Him, they made widely known the saying which was told them concerning this Child. 18. And all those who heard it marveled at those things which were told them by the shepherds. 19. But Mary kept all these things and pondered them in her heart. 20. Then the shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all the things that they had heard and seen, as it was told them. ‘It is easier for heaven and earth to pass away than for one tittle of the law to fail,’ says the Lord to his desciples.

25. For I do not desire, brethren, that you should be ignorant of this mystery, lest you should be wise in your own opinion, that blindness in part has happened to Israel until the fullness of the Gentiles has come in. 26. And so all Israel will be saved, as it is written: “The Deliverer will come out of Zion, And He will turn away ungodliness from Jacob; 27. For this is My covenant with them, When I take away their sins.” 28. Concerning the gospel they are enemies for your sake, but concerning the election they are beloved for the sake of the fathers. 29. For the gifts and the calling of God are irrevocable. 30. For as you were once disobedient to God, yet have now obtained mercy through their disobedience, 31. even so these also have now been disobedient, that through the mercy shown you they also may obtain mercy. 32. For God has committed them all to disobedience, that He might have mercy on all. 33. Oh, the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are His judgments and His ways past finding out! 34. “For who has known the mind of the LORD? Or who has become His counselor?” 35. “Or who has first given to Him And it shall be repaid to him?” 36. For of Him and through Him and to Him are all things, to whom be glory forever. Amen.

1Jn 2 : 1 - 6 [ትግርኛ][ግእዝ][ልሙድ]

1. My little children, these things I write to you, so that you may not sin. And if anyone sins, we have an Advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous. 2. And He Himself is the propitiation for our sins, and not for ours only but also for the whole world. 3. Now by this we know that we know Him, if we keep His commandments. 4. He who says, “ I know Him,” and does not keep His commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him. 5. But whoever keeps His word, truly the love of God is perfected in him. By this we know that we are in Him. 6. He who says he abides in Him ought himself also to walk just as He walked.

19. Then the commander took him by the hand, went aside, and asked privately, “What is it that you have to tell me?” 20. And he said, “The Jews have agreed to ask that you bring Paul down to the council tomorrow, as though they were going to inquire more fully about him. 21. But do not yield to them, for more than forty of them lie in wait for him, men who have bound themselves by an oath that they will neither eat nor drink till they have killed him; and now they are ready, waiting for the promise from you.” 22. So the commander let the young man depart, and commanded him, “Tell no one that you have revealed these things to me.”

Mt 2 : 13 - 18 [ትግርኛ][ግእዝ][ልሙድ]

13. Now when they had departed, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared to Joseph in a dream, saying, “Arise, take the young Child and His mother, flee to Egypt, and stay there until I bring you word; for Herod will seek the young Child to destroy Him.” 14. When he arose, he took the young Child and His mother by night and departed for Egypt, 15. and was there until the death of Herod, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the Lord through the prophet, saying, “Out of Egypt I called My Son.” 16. Then Herod, when he saw that he was deceived by the wise men, was exceedingly angry; and he sent forth and put to death all the male children who were in Bethlehem and in all its districts, from two years old and under, according to the time which he had determined from the wise men. 17. Then was fulfilled what was spoken by Jeremiah the prophet, saying: 18. “A voice was heard in Ramah, Lamentation, weeping, and great mourning, Rachel weeping for her children, Refusing to be comforted, Because they are no more.” The Lord told his desciples, ‘Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will by no means pass away.’

Lk 15 : 25 - end [ትግርኛ][ግእዝ][ልሙድ]

25. “Now his older son was in the field. And as he came and drew near to the house, he heard music and dancing. 26. So he called one of the servants and asked what these things meant. 27. And he said to him, ‘Your brother has come, and because he has received him safe and sound, your father has killed the fatted calf. ’ 28. “But he was angry and would not go in. Therefore his father came out and pleaded with him. 29. So he answered and said to his father, ‘Lo, these many years I have been serving you; I never transgressed your commandment at any time; and yet you never gave me a young goat, that I might make merry with my friends. 30. But as soon as this son of yours came, who has devoured your livelihood with harlots, you killed the fatted calf for him. ’ 31. “And he said to him, ‘Son, you are always with me, and all that I have is yours. 32. 2Cor 11 : 16 - 26 [ትግርኛ][ግእዝ][ልሙድ]

16. I say again, let no one think me a fool. If otherwise, at least receive me as a fool, that I also may boast a little. 17. What I speak, I speak not according to the Lord, but as it were, foolishly, in this confidence of boasting. 18. Seeing that many boast according to the flesh, I also will boast. 19. For you put up with fools gladly, since you yourselves are wise! 20. For you put up with it if one brings you into bondage, if one devours you, if one takes from you, if one exalts himself, if one strikes you on the face. 21. To our shame I say that we were too weak for that! But in whatever anyone is bold— I speak foolishly— I am bold also. 22. Are they Hebrews? So am I. Are they Israelites? So am I. Are they the seed of Abraham? So am I. 23. Are they ministers of Christ? — I speak as a fool— I am more: in labors more abundant, in stripes above measure, in prisons more frequently, in deaths often. 24. From the Jews five times I received forty stripes minus one. 25. Three times I was beaten with rods; once I was stoned; three times I was shipwrecked; a night and a day I have been in the deep; 26. in journeys often, in perils of waters, in perils of robbers, in perils of my own countrymen, in perils of the Gentiles, in perils in the city, in perils in the wilderness, in perils in the sea, in perils among false brethren;

1Pet 4 : 12 - end [ትግርኛ][ግእዝ][ልሙድ]

12. Beloved, do not think it strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened to you; 13. but rejoice to the extent that you partake of Christ's sufferings, that when His glory is revealed, you may also be glad with exceeding joy. 14. If you are reproached for the name of Christ, blessed are you, for the Spirit of glory and of God rests upon you. On their part He is blasphemed, but on your part He is glorified. 15. But let none of you suffer as a murderer, a thief, an evildoer, or as a busybody in other people's matters. 16. Yet if anyone suffers as a Christian, let him not be ashamed, but let him glorify God in this matter. 17. For the time has come for judgment to begin at the house of God; and if it begins with us first, what will be the end of those who do not obey the gospel of God? 18. Now “If the righteous one is scarcely saved, Where will the ungodly and the sinner appear?” 19. Therefore let those who suffer according to the will of God commit their souls to Him in doing good, as to a faithful Creator.

But he, being full of the Holy Spirit, gazed into heaven and saw the glory of God, and Jesus standing at the right hand of God, 56. and said, “Look! I see the heavens opened and the Son of Man standing at the right hand of God!” 57. Then they cried out with a loud voice, stopped their ears, and ran at him with one accord; 58. and they cast him out of the city and stoned him. And the witnesses laid down their clothes at the feet of a young man named Saul. 59. And they stoned Stephen as he was calling on God and saying, “Lord Jesus, receive my spirit.” 60. Heb 11 : 1 - 7 [ትግርኛ][ግእዝ][ልሙድ]

1. Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. 2. For by it the elders obtained a good testimony. 3. By faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that the things which are seen were not made of things which are visible. 4. By faith Abel offered to God a more excellent sacrifice than Cain, through which he obtained witness that he was righteous, God testifying of his gifts; and through it he being dead still speaks. 5. By faith Enoch was taken away so that he did not see death, “and was not found, because God had taken him”; for before he was taken he had this testimony, that he pleased God. 6. But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him. 7. By faith Noah, being divinely warned of things not yet seen, moved with godly fear, prepared an ark for the saving of his household, by which he condemned the world and became heir of the righteousness which is according to faith.

1Jn 3 : 6 - 12 [ትግርኛ][ግእዝ][ልሙድ]

6. Whoever abides in Him does not sin. Whoever sins has neither seen Him nor known Him. 7. Little children, let no one deceive you. He who practices righteousness is righteous, just as He is righteous. 8. He who sins is of the devil, for the devil has sinned from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that He might destroy the works of the devil. 9. Whoever has been born of God does not sin, for His seed remains in him; and he cannot sin, because he has been born of God. 10. In this the children of God and the children of the devil are manifest: Whoever does not practice righteousness is not of God, nor is he who does not love his brother. 11. For this is the message that you heard from the beginning, that we should love one another, 12. not as Cain who was of the wicked one and murdered his brother. And why did he murder him? Because his works were evil and his brother's righteous.

18. Then, as soon as it was day, there was no small stir among the soldiers about what had become of Peter. 19. But when Herod had searched for him and not found him, he examined the guards and commanded that they should be put to death. And he went down from Judea to Caesarea, and stayed there. 20. Now Herod had been very angry with the people of Tyre and Sidon; but they came to him with one accord, and having made Blastus the king's personal aide their friend, they asked for peace, because their country was supplied with food by the king's country. 21. So on a set day Herod, arrayed in royal apparel, sat on his throne and gave an oration to them. 22. And the people kept shouting, “The voice of a god and not of a man!” 23. Then immediately an angel of the Lord struck him, because he did not give glory to God. And he was eaten by worms and died. 24. But the word of God grew and multiplied. 25. And Barnabas and Saul returned from Jerusalem when they had fulfilled their ministry, and they also took with them John whose surname was Mark.

4. You have not yet resisted to bloodshed, striving against sin. 5. And you have forgotten the exhortation which speaks to you as to sons: “My son, do not despise the chastening of the LORD, Nor be discouraged when you are rebuked by Him; 6. For whom the LORD loves He chastens, And scourges every son whom He receives.” 7. If you endure chastening, God deals with you as with sons; for what son is there whom a father does not chasten? 8. But if you are without chastening, of which all have become partakers, then you are illegitimate and not sons. 9. Furthermore, we have had human fathers who corrected us, and we paid them respect. Shall we not much more readily be in subjection to the Father of spirits and live? 10. For they indeed for a few days chastened us as seemed best to them, but He for our profit, that we may be partakers of His holiness.

But also for this very reason, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue, to virtue knowledge, 6. to knowledge self - control, to self - control perseverance, to perseverance godliness, 7. to godliness brotherly kindness, and to brotherly kindness love. 8. For if these things are yours and abound, you will be neither barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.

23. And some were persuaded by the things which were spoken, and some disbelieved. 25. So when they did not agree among themselves, they departed after Paul had said one word: “The Holy Spirit spoke rightly through Isaiah the prophet to our fathers, 26. saying, ‘Go to this people and say: “Hearing you will hear, and shall not understand; And seeing you will see, and not perceive; 27. For the hearts of this people have grown dull. Their ears are hard of hearing, And their eyes they have closed, Lest they should see with their eyes and hear with their ears, Lest they should understand with their hearts and turn, So that I should heal them.” ’ 28. “Therefore let it be known to you that the salvation of God has been sent to the Gentiles, and they will hear it!” 29. And when he had said these words, the Jews departed and had a great dispute among themselves. 30. Then Paul dwelt two whole years in his own rented house, and received all who came to him, 31. preaching the kingdom of God and teaching the things which concern the Lord Jesus Christ with all confidence, no one forbidding him.

But Jesus called them to Him and said, “Let the little children come to Me, and do not forbid them; for of such is the kingdom of God. 17. Assuredly, I say to you, whoever does not receive the kingdom of God as a little child will by no means enter it.” 18. Now a certain ruler asked Him, saying, “Good Teacher, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?” 19. So Jesus said to him, “Why do you call Me good? No one is good but One, that is, God. 20. You know the commandments: ‘Do not commit adultery, ’ ‘Do not murder, ’ ‘Do not steal, ’ ‘Do not bear false witness, ’ ‘Honor your father and your mother.’” 21. And he said, “All these things I have kept from my youth.” 22. So when Jesus heard these things, He said to him, “You still lack one thing. Sell all that you have and distribute to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, follow Me.” 23. But when he heard this, he became very sorrowful, for he was very rich. 24. And when Jesus saw that he became very sorrowful, He said, “How hard it is for those who have riches to enter the kingdom of God! 25. For it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God.” 26. And those who heard it said, “Who then can be saved?” ‘It is easier for heaven and earth to pass away than for one tittle of the law to fail,’ says the Lord to his desciples.

But Peter stood at the door outside. Then the other disciple, who was known to the high priest, went out and spoke to her who kept the door, and brought Peter in. 17. Then the servant girl who kept the door said to Peter, “You are not also one of this Man's disciples, are you?” He said, “ I am not.” 18. Now the servants and officers who had made a fire of coals stood there, for it was cold, and they warmed themselves. And Peter stood with them and warmed himself. Whoever believes in the SON, have eternal life.

መልእክተ ጳውሎስ Pauline Epistle

Rom 11 : 25 - end [ትግርኛ][ግእዝ][ልሙድ]

Amen.

ግብረ ሃዋርያት Acts

Acts 7 : 12 - 22 [ትግርኛ][ግእዝ][ልሙድ]

12. But when Jacob heard that there was grain in Egypt, he sent out our fathers first. 13. And the second time Joseph was made known to his brothers, and Joseph's family became known to the Pharaoh. 14. Then Joseph sent and called his father Jacob and all his relatives to him, seventy-five people. 15. So Jacob went down to Egypt; and he died, he and our fathers. 16. And they were carried back to Shechem and laid in the tomb that Abraham bought for a sum of money from the sons of Hamor, the father of Shechem. 17. “But when the time of the promise drew near which God had sworn to Abraham, the people grew and multiplied in Egypt 18. till another king arose who did not know Joseph. 19. This man dealt treacherously with our people, and oppressed our forefathers, making them expose their babies, so that they might not live. 20. At this time Moses was born, and was well pleasing to God; and he was brought up in his father's house for three months. 21. But when he was set out, Pharaoh's daughter took him away and brought him up as her own son. 22. And Moses was learned in all the wisdom of the Egyptians, and was mighty in words and deeds.

መዝሙር Psalm

Ps 88 : 27 - 28 [ትግርኛ][ግእዝ][ልሙድ]

I shall make him, my firstborn, Higher than the kings of the earth. I shall keep My mercy for him forever, And My covenant shall be trustworthy with him.

ወንጌል Gospel

Mt 2 : 1 - 12 [ትግርኛ][ግእዝ][ልሙድ]

1. Now after Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judea in the days of Herod the king, behold, wise men from the East came to Jerusalem, 2. saying, “Where is He who has been born King of the Jews? For we have seen His star in the East and have come to worship Him.” 3. When Herod the king heard this, he was troubled, and all Jerusalem with him. 4. And when he had gathered all the chief priests and scribes of the people together, he inquired of them where the Christ was to be born. 5. So they said to him, “In Bethlehem of Judea, for thus it is written by the prophet: 6. ‘But you, Bethlehem, in the land of Judah, Are not the least among the rulers of Judah; For out of you shall come a Ruler Who will shepherd My people Israel.’” 7. Then Herod, when he had secretly called the wise men, determined from them what time the star appeared. 8. And he sent them to Bethlehem and said, “Go and search carefully for the young Child, and when you have found Him, bring back word to me, that I may come and worship Him also.” 9. When they heard the king, they departed; and behold, the star which they had seen in the East went before them, till it came and stood over where the young Child was. 10. When they saw the star, they rejoiced with exceedingly great joy. 11. And when they had come into the house, they saw the young Child with Mary His mother, and fell down and worshiped Him. And when they had opened their treasures, they presented gifts to Him: gold, frankincense, and myrrh. 12. Then, being divinely warned in a dream that they should not return to Herod, they departed for their own country another way. The Lord told his desciples, ‘Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will by no means pass away.’
